Sherrington vs 'Yori Boy' Campas set for July 18

    Les ‘Lock and Load’ Sherrington (28-6-0) will take on 40 year old Mexican, ‘Yori Boy’ Luis Ramon Campas (100-16-1) in his move to Middleweight-July 28th on the Gold Coast.

    Campas is a former IBF Light Middleweight champion and has fought some of the biggest names in boxing for world titles including; Felix Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya. Since losing to Hector Camacho Jr in 2009, Campas has amassed a record of 8-1 fighting in Mexico.

    Sherrington who has fought just once in the past 12 months after breaking his leg against Kashif Mumtaz, will challenge Campas for the vacant WBF Middleweight title.

    The co-feature bout will see Fred Mundraby defend his Australian Super Flyweight title for the first time, he will take on Emmanuel Micallef.

    Not many would use a fighter with 100+ fights as a rebound after a loss.

    I feel Yori boy will have to much for Sherro even in his 40's.

    I think Les will get KTFO......Yori boy still has a big punch.

    ROFL, It's ok for some to fight opponents well past thier prime but not others..... This guy maybe 40 but in terms of fights and ring ware he is about 60 in the shade

    I honestly think Les will struggle to get the W here...Yory's age and conditioning could well betray him but Sherro's chin and complimentary lack of D might be found out here again.

    A domestic level guy like Les fighting long in the tooth guys like Yory is more than acceptable IMO.

    Yoris totally shot , fights like hes 60. cant block anything thrown his way.

    And he had Trinidad down breifly in their fight if i remember correctly

    Trinidad was down in so many of his fights it wasn't funny, he was pretty chinny
