@mark ant I am shocked a man of your knowledge (who admittedly knows a lot more about boxing than I do) thinks that it was competitive. It looked to me like a completely one sided schooling in which Marshall won maybe one round (maybe) when Shields took her foot off the pedal later on.

Shields showed the difference between an elite fighter and a Peter Fury trained fighter - huge gulf in class on the night and hearing the final bell in a female fight is the norm in nearly all of the fights involving Shields.

One of the most one sided fights seen

A member once told me that Peter Fury is the Tony Pulis of boxing trainers and after doing a bit of research on Tony Pulis I would have to agree.

I can't remember if I gave Marshall one round, or not, but to me I was fairly certain she didn't win any more than that. Everything about her was odd. I think I had seen her once or twice before against part-timers, and she obviously looked better then but her oddities were amplified against a professional boxer like Shields. @Erik mentioned Shields was swinging from the ankles and while I can't get that image out of my head (truth) she was a lot more professional and skillful than the vast majority of top female boxers and that says a lot for the quality. Marshall looked abysmal and you can tell she had been spending time in the gym with Peter Fury and Hughie Fury.

I thought Marshall`s angles would be too much for the straight forward Shields but she flopped.

I saw some highlights and it was garbage. But people keep drinking the kool aid so what can you do. Just shows you how powerful marketing, brainwashing and social pressure is.

Here we have someone actually willing to tell the truth based on what they can see with their own two eyes. Something of a rarity these days.

Marshall clearly doesn't even know the basics of how to cut off the ring and anyone saying this is high level, elite, or anything close to even a grassroots men's amateur bout you could see at your local working men's club, is either lying or just clueless. There are 24 fighters listed in the women's middleweight division world wide:lol:, so there is more competition for places in your nearest Sunday league team, which you can tell from that clip here.

When people say fights like this display high skill levels we really have entered the '2+2=5' level of denying reality.

Marshall is shite. Chinning a few no hopers doesn’t change that. She could rematch Shields in the pro’s 100 times and wouldn’t win.

That's not even an exaggeration. It's comparable to Mike Tyson vs Peter McNeeley or something like that.
