LOL. Taylor left the ring looking like she had been in several car crashes after the first Persoon bout. Persoon is a full-time police officer, and works irregular shifts. Taylor lost that.
Shields by far. She is called the GWOAT for a reason. She is the most skillful female boxer I have ever seen. She talks the talk and walks the walk. Taylor really lost to Serrano and Persoon the first time. Shields came to England and outclassed the bigger and apparently hard punching Marshall taking her to school.
Don't compare her to Floyd Floyd moved up through the divisions not down And he fought in deep ones not ones as shallow as a puddle
She is still the best female fighter I have ever seen skills-wise having learned from the gurus of the mid west USA. You were one of those predicting Marshall would knock her out from way back. I think it was guys like me and @Pimp C that were resolute that there was a gap in skills which would be decisive.
The answer to the OP is indeed Shields, but it is also true that she isn't as good as Floyd. As women boxing gets bigger I do expect we'll see new stars with high levels of skill closing the gap to Floyd etc., but it will take a little time. If Shields didn't have Marshall to fight, we wouldn't even know how good she was. Eye test is good yes but she turns out to be better than most of us had thought simply from eye test.
Those of us who know whar we are seeing know how good she was. Its like Usyk while I wanted AJ to win I was not blind to Usyk's ability. The way for AJ to win was by imposing his physical gifts.
You picked the vastly more skilled Usyk to lose via KO twice to AJ You even picked him to lose after watching him school AJ in the first fight with his vastly superior skills Skills pay the Williams, eh?
Yes I did but I did not pick it based on skills which I conceded was in Usyk’s favour by far. AJ’s job in the first fights was to impose his size, weight, physicality and power on the smaller man which he spectacularly failed to do. It was an inept performance. Yes skills pay the bills so getting into a skills battle with Usyk was wrong but that is Robert McCracken for you a vastly overrated trainer. In the 2nd fight AJ put up a much better effort but Usyk was better as well and he gets full credit from me.
