Most exciting fight in women’s boxing without a doubt. Who you got?

As a Brit I’m in the minority as Team Shields. Faster hands, better boxer, tough enough to take the shots.

Marshall KO2, won't even be competitive. Figuring out Shields timing won't be hard, she'll lunge in with a flurry, Marshall lands counter, down, done, dusted.... ovah!

I've watch all of Marshall fights since she turned pro and I have to say, she has a stalking style, places her punches well.

In 12 fights, Marshall has stopped 10 fighters and the two fighters she didn't stop, she dropped. The two fighters with winning records on her resume, she dropped one of them and stopped the other. Is she ready for Shields? who knows, that why they fight the fights...Shields defense is excellent, however i think Marshall can stop Shields before Shields stops Marshall.

The two undefeated 168 lbers Cederroos and Marshall, both 5'11, will be the first two fighters that Shields fights that will actually punch back.

I say all this as an American

I'm favouring Marshall. But I expect Shields to give her a competitive fight. Her hand speed, movement and counter punching will see her have far more success than anyone else Marshall has fought.

I think Marshall's combination of height, reach and power will pose Shields problems. She can't just stay on the outside as she'll get picked off by the rangier Marshall's jab, she can't take it too her aggressively as she'll walk into a huge counter and get put to sleep.

If Shields is to win she's going to have to fight a perfect fight and dart in and out, beating Marshall to the punch, then get out before Marshall can counter which will be hard to do as with Marshall's long reach, she can catch Shields on the way out unlike other fighters who lack her range.

In this case the (much) bigger puncher should win 4 out of 5 times.

It's the Paulie Mallinaggi thing here, who was a better boxer as most of his name opponents, but just didn't have the power to keep them honest.
And it seems like Shields' chin isn't that great either, which means she probably has to fight the perfect fight to win.

American loudmouth hypejob Vs better skilled Brit

    Seen it all before

Shields can have her moments but this is a rough fight for her. Another Ronda Rousey 2.0.

The disparity in skill and ability in woman's boxing is so much greater you can't even judge off their performances. You have to see what they've got and where they lack. Shields only wins this fighting the fight of her life and Marshall slipping badly.

    Shields by unanimous decision, wide.

Shields is 2 times Olympic gold medalist and her cabinet is full of world championship gold medals. She also has that warrior personality.

Marshall will not be able to land effective shots, because Shields is definitely the better boxer.

As mentioned Shields is a good boxer but also has the warrior personality and this will be all wrong in a fight against Marshall. Despite all of Shields trinkets and what she has achieved I believe Marshall will also be the betting favourite.Marshall is clearly gaining momentum and should stop Shields before the halfway mark. This has been seen many times in the past in Boxing as simply the passing of the torch as a better fighter comes along .

She`s never taken power like that and she`s been floored, plus Savannah has a huge reach advantage too.

Savannah is by far the best women`s boxer, she`s more skilled than a lot of men and by far the hardest hitting female fighter of all-time, she has one punch power.
