April seventh, headlining on ShoBox. Ten rounds scheduled at super lightweight, with the IBF USBA 140lb title on the line. (No that isn't a nickname. Homeboy's full name on his birth certificate is Shinard Charles Showtime Bunch, honest to goodness. Speaking of nicknames, yes, Flores' is really "The Baby Maravilla", which is only a bit less ridiculous than "Scrap" with the letter a doubled for some reason...) Each is coming off a UD10 career-best victory, both in early December of last year. Bunch defeated Henry "Hammerin' Hank" Lundy, and then Flores defeated Plácido Ramírez Sánchez (no, not related to Flores's countryman Zurdo de Oro; this Ramírez Sánchez is a dark-skinned Colombian) a week later. Interesting names (but profoundly boring nicknames) in the co-main event as well. Jah-yae Darrin Brown goes with the somewhat overused - and somewhat hard to live up to - "Golden Child", and his opponent Guido Emmanuel Schramm came up with the insanely creative "G.E.S." - perhaps to blend in and fly under the radar, because we all know Argentinians with German surnames are kind of sus... (wonder if Guido's abuelo left a uniform folded up in a secret locked chest in the attic)
I have no idea why this video is saturated in such a way that both of them look more like video game characters than real humans. This content is protected
The only clips that exist are in that video, but just based on that and that alone, I picked Flores by KO the other day in Kirk's. Because he fights like a much younger stronger Lundy, and if Lundy had a few more seconds and Bunch wasn't saved by he bell, he'd have KTFO of Bunch.
