Santillán is circling left, bobbing up and down. Yamanaka is working the southpaw jab steadily into his face, never too far to land or close enough to have to worry about Santillán's body shots & haymakers. BIG LEFT comes down like a meteor into Santillán's chin! He is on his ass, stunned! He beats the count while Yamanaka waits in the neutral corner, grinning calmly. Yamanaka pounces. 1-2s doled out liberally. Santillán's face is a crimson mask. Time out. The ref has Santillán's corner wipe some of the blood away since it has begun to drip all over the canvas and make it slick. Oh, also, they are replacing his gum shield (which Santillán has spat on purpose a few times now). Time in. Yamanaka keeps pecking away. Santillán survives.

Santillán is unable to avoid the right jab of Yamanaka, used like a tractor beam, pulling Santillán in like sea drift. Santillán reaches up with a left jab and starts to roll in a desperate telegraphed overhand right from the hip and before it can even start its ascent he is caught by one more devastating left cross on the button. Santillán is down, flat on his back and & OUT!

So they're showing clips of the elder Tatsuyoshi knocking out Sirimongkol eighteen years ago rather than highlights of his son's pro debut from the undercard today? :huh

 

Juiki Tatsuyoshi vs. Tadao Iwaya, 4 rounds @ super bantamweight

 

Round 1

Tatsuyoshi heavy-handed but throwing wild combos, getting tied up. Iwaya is ducking in, pressing his forearms into Tatsuyoshi and chopping up top with the right hand. Wild hooks by Tatsuyoshi. Iwaya rocked. Big exchange in the middle of the ring, lots of misses and cuffing inner-arm shots. Tatsuyoshi connects, and Iwaya goes down, just before the bell.

Round 2

Tatsuyoshi is calming down now, jabbing at long range and leaning in halfway to hook off the jab, reverting to a stand-up position and resetting, moving. Sudden two-piece and Iwaya goes down again, hard. Really nice left hook on Tatsuyoshi. Iwaya swings for the fences, disoriented, getting close and tying up. The ref peels him off. Left hooks by Tatsuyoshi, mostly on the jaw but digging a few into the body of Iwaya. Clinch. Break. Tatsuyoshi is now backing up while throwing 1-2s and hooks as Iwaya desperately attempts to cling to him in a nonstop clinch. Tatsuyoshi is able to get separation, taking an extra step back, stunning Iwaya with a left hook, and then jumping in to finish him off with a combination.
