    Round 1

Lead rights by Kaikanha, forcing Yamanaka on the backfoot. Kaikanha is spearing them high and low, eschewing the jab. Heavy pressure by the challenger, approaching with his knees bent and both forearms held vertically against his face. Yamanaka circles warily, throwing a few defensive jabs.

    10-9 Kaikanha

    Round 2

Yamanaka is circling to his left popping right jabs into the face of Kaikanha. Yamanaka pauses every full revolution to plant his feet and drop in a left uppercut or short overhand as Kaikanha takes a lunging step in, doing a partial split with a turtle shell up and fishing with body shots.

    10-9 Yamanaka

    19-19

    Round 3

Yamanaka is skipping away from Kaikanha, making him fall short with his power leads from the crouch. Kaikanha is launching big right hands at the stomach and face of Yamanaka from outside. Yamanaka fixes the southpaw jab on Kaikanha's forehead and dips in with counter 1-2s. Clinch. Kaikanha is slamming in the straight right, carrying himself off his feet with it and sailing in on Yamanaka, forcing him to back up nonstop but always falling just a tiny bit short with it.

    10-9 Yamanaka, close

    29-28 Yamanaka

    Round 4

Yamanaka is sticking the right jab and finding Kaikanha with left uppercuts while turning him on the Kure logo. Kaikana is diving in with rights speared into the stomach and putting up no-look high left hooks grazing the chin of Yamanaka as the champion begins to circle to his own right. Yamanaka lands a counter 1-2 on the brow and then puts out a steadying glove to brace off, hold Kaikanha in place and step around him. Intense pressure by Kaikanha, getting through with shots but paying for it at least twofold with Yamanaka scoring points but landing the lighter blows.

    10-9 Yamanaka

    39-37 Yamanaka

    Round 5

Yamanaka is lunging with the right jab, circling out very wide. Kaikanha walks him down and throws hard lead rights, changing up his plane of attack with each, landing on the stomach, face, and chest by turns. Left hooks by Kaikanha as he stays on top of Yamanaka. A few 1-2s between the eyes score for Yamanaka but he is mostly backpedaling and pumping right jabs into the air. Kaikanha landing more body shots from outside, staying under Yamanaka's jab more often.

    10-9 Kaikanha, close

    48-47 Yamanaka

    Round 6

Yamanaka is doubling and tripling up on his jab, circling either way and stepping in and out of range. The jab of Yamanaka is mostly window-dressing as he stalls, moves, and ties up when Kaikanha gets in close. Body shots in the clinch by Kaikanha. Sturdier body shots on the outside when they separate, all straight and powerful with Kaikanha pushing off the rear heel and swiveling his hips in for torque. The counter 1-2 of Yamanaka isn't having much effect slowing Kaikanha down. Movement and tying up are becoming his main recourse.

    10-9 Kaikanha

    57-57

    Round 7

Kaikanha is rushing in, tilting forward behind a high guard, throwing rights at the body and left hooks up top. Yamanaka is circling away, tiring, popping weak jabs. Yamanaka is hurt by a left hook! Yamanaka keeps spacing himself out and finally lands a big 1-2 and KAIKANHA IS DROPPED HARD, sent reeling across the ring and sat by the ropes. Kaikanha takes a long count and then beats it just at the bell.

    10-8 Yamanaka

    67-65 Yamanaka

    Round 8

Yamanaka is starting to stay in close, pecking at Kaikanha with jabs and left uppercuts while turning him. Kaikanha picks off punches on his gloves and bows and dips through some, but is getting hit. BIG RIGHT HAND by Kaikanha, flush on the nose of Yamanaka and staggering him back. Kaikanha presses and Yamanaka widens his circumference a bit, looking for the sweet spot with his straight counter combos - and finds it. Kaikanha down again. Saved by the bell again.

    10-8 Yamanaka

    77-73 Yamanaka

    Round 9

Yamanaka is paddling his jab off Kaikanha's head and then pushing in and folding his arms up against his face, putting his wrist into Kaikanha's throat and elbows digging into his ribs in a rough, awkward clinch. Both are tired. Kaikanha is crouching in looking for a body shot but holds as Yamanaka dusts the back of his head. Their heads clash up close. The ref takes a point from Kaikhana, a bit abruptly. Moments later Yamanaka drops a dispirited Kaikanha with a combo dropped on the head. Right jabs and looping lefts by Yamanaka, a bit sloppy but scoring at mid-range as Kaikanha leans in haplessly.

    10-7 Yamanaka

    87-80 Yamanaka

    Round 10

Yamanaka is tying up and springing off when Laurence Cole breaks them, sprinting across the ring backward and backhanding out his right jab into the air. Kaikana stumbles to him, also tired, squatting and loading up his lead right and pinballing himself in. Yamanaka is doing more holding than hitting now. Kaikanha is mostly ineffective with his pressure but at least getting touches on the body, especially with his free hand in the clinch.

    10-9 Kaikanha

    96-90 Yamanaka

    Round 11

Yamanaka is jogging away from Kaikanha lazily, staying just ahead of him. 1-2 by Yamanaka, Kaikanha walking directly onto it. Yamanaka is tossing left uppercuts into the belt line from outside without having to worry about counter fire as Kaikanha is too far out in his crouch to mount any offense except for slapping left hooks on the side of the head when Yamanaka slows and they clinch.

    10-9 Yamanaka

    106-99 Yamanaka
