I didn't think Ward would be able to be this successful physically pushing Pantera around....much more inside action than I expected with Ward dominating there too.
As Nick Charles has pointed out a couple times, it's quite impressive watching Ward not only use his superior boxing ability to combat Miranda but also superior physical strength. Miranda came on towards the last minute of this round, but I think Ward did enough to take a closer one. 60-54 Ward
Miranda's corner says no more games now you gotta punch. Miranda throws some jabs that land and a few body punches as well. Ward slips out of the corner and begins to move again wisely. Miranda throws three jabs well short of Ward. Uppercut just missed for Ward. Ward is looking for that big uppercut now. Miranda muscling Ward and forcing him to fight. Miranda and Ward trade uppercuts on the inside as both guys trade low blows/body shots. Miranda is getting backed up and muscled. If you watch this round, it's essentially the same as when Pavlik backed Miranda up. Miranda misses a big wild right as Ward goes back to boxing. Miranda is so undisciplined it's scary. Steve Farhood says "The Bully is now getting bullied." BIG RIGHT HAND lands on Ward but Ward comes back with a big right. Ward gets hit with ANOTHER right hand and Ward looks willing to trade but that might not be a good idea. Ward has some small swelling. Ward muscles Miranda into the ropes and they both go low. Good round with a lot of action. I'd give it Miranda because he landed the more meaningful punches. That said while Ward may have lost that round, he won a battle inside the round. Ward took on Miranda in a rough and tumble round and never turned away. 5-1 Ward
I think that is going to have to end up getting settled in the ring. I hope they end up clashing as undefeated champions with the divisions #1 slot up for grabs.
two big rights from miranda, no damage done though. ward bullying the bully and miranda seems to be breaking down mentally. good fight.

very impressive ring generalship from ward...but miranda lands two rights towards the end.. seriously ward cant get complacent here..hes eye is swollen their saying and all that wrestling could take its toll stamina wise later on..
Miranda looks re focused as the round begins. Ward pops three strong body punches as the round begins. Miranda gets muscled into the ropes by Andre. Only a matter of time before Miranda starts going low repeatedly on the breaks. Ward muscles Miranda into the ropes and lands some more big punches. He's got Ward stuck in the corner as Miranda throws some butts in there. Ward looks a little too amped this round, looking for a big right and throwing some wild punches. More muscle work as Miranda puts Ward in the cross face chicken wing. Miranda and Ward wrestle A LOT this round. Ward lands a left hook that sends sweat flying. Ward throws Miranda into the ropes and has proven how much stronger is so far. More wrestling. Ward splits the guard with a 1-2. Slower round. Not as much action as much wrestling. Ward round though. 6-1
Miranda is definitely trying to press the action. It's not that he isn't successful sometimes, but his work is entirely outshined by Ward. Another easy round to score. 70-63 Ward
