Darley Perez and Oscar Meza are about to get it on!


Farhood implies that Perez has a typical padded Colombian knockout record. :think Hard to dispute. Alcorro and Reyes are decent scalps, but both went several rounds (Reyes the distance) and both were coming off several losses.

Meza's losses are to better guys than Perez has ever shared the ring with (much better, in the cases of Gesta and Rios).

Round 1

Meza pushes Perez back with a jab to the body. Perez tucks his elbows down and backs up. Body shots by Meza. Perez slides his feet back and leans forward to flurry at the body of Meza. Perez blocks a jab while circling. Jab from Perez. They hook together, and Meza's head is turned. Perez lands a flush jab while Meza is diving in with sloppy body shots. A few hooks to the body from Meza while advancing straight up on Perez. Long up-jab from Perez. Meza looks maybe a bit more than the listed two inches taller than Perez. Another simultaneous hooking exchange, and again Perez lands a little better. Nice jabs by Perez. Hooks to the body by Meza, and his chin is spun to one side by another Perez left hook. Nice jabs and hooks backing up by Perez, throwing one left hook to the jaw while leaping with both feet a couple of inches backward into the air. A few mean body shots by Meza. Perez leans forward, guard tucked in tight and throwing some nice counter jabs.

Round 2

Meza throws a big left hook lurching forward and catches Perez across the face, stunning him slightly. Perez backs up and jabs. Counter right hand by Perez. Nice accurate jabs by Perez as Meza just walks onto it. Body hook by Meza. Perez is throwing the jab high and straight and keeping his head tilted back out of the way of Meza's longer but slower and wider-traveling arms. Perez keeps gliding just outside the pocket, pulling Meza onto his counter jabs. Meza is soaring in, trying to slap down with body shots but getting knifed in place at the end of the jab. NICE counter right by Perez. BOOM!, BIG UPPERCUT INSIDE BY PEREZ! Meza's head snapped back but he reverts right back to stalking & body punching mode. Perez keeps popping the jab and slipping Meza jabs and rights. Wide hook by Perez backing up, scrapes Meza.
