The ref sends both fighters back to neutral corners while calling for someone to hop in the ring with a rag and wipe down the wet spot. Time in. Lundy is southpaw again. Stiff right jabs on the face by Lundy. Santana is covering up, standing in front of Lundy on shaky legs. HARD left cross splitting the guard by Lundy, rattling Santana. Right jab by Lundy, up from the hip. Jab and straight-pumping volley by Lundy, finishing with a right hook under the elbows. Lundy wraps his arms over his face and lets Santana come in and fire a few short punches. Lundy turns him away and spanks his side. Lundy covers up and Santana pushes him onto the ropes. Wide right hook by Santana, spinning himself around as he misses. Lundy stands in and puts his arms up vertically, letting Santana punch high with both hands and then slap Lundy's side with a left. Lundy is looking to counter on a scoot-back step, but is caught by a right jab. Santana is looping in lefts on the body, deflected partially by Lundy's arm.

10-9 Lundy - close and Santana's best in a while but each round is scored in a vacuum and Lundy while relatively less effective still edged this one. (Raul Marquez agrees with me; Barry Tompkins gave it to Santana but admitted it was charity...)
