Unaesthetic fighting style? Huh?! Her fights aren’t even competitive. She gives a boxing lesson to every one of these chicks. Hell are you talking about? You wanna criticize her being brash, fine. But her fighting style? What’s she supposed to do? Lower her skill level to give you a more competitive fight?

I mean, based on THIS, yes - but did you see the Napoleon-Espinoza vs. Cederroos match on the undercard earlier? Night and day.

There is good women's boxing. It just doesn't involve Shields.

Why though, little risk and decent paydays doing this crap. Why stop? She'd get destroyed in MMA unless she trained for years.

No woman boxer has ever even been a star, much less a superstar. i would venture that no current male boxer is even a star in the USA.

    Laila came the closest.

    Laila was cute.

Laila ducked Anne, who most hardcore fans agree was probably greater but was less of a star. (and not cute)

    Not a coincidence.

Christ. I can only imagine how dull this fight is. Despite Shields bold claims of a brutal finish I had a feeling this would go all the way.

100-90 Shields (an even round 10-10, canceled out by a knockdown round 10-8, so...as though neither ever happened, math-wise)
