ShoBox: Claressa Shields vs. Nikki Adler RBR

Shields is now incorporating some hooks, mostly used to sneak around the guard and taunt Adler into changing her gloves' position to open the gates to Shields' battering-ram 1-2. Adler is wiping blood and snot from her nose and sidestepping, bouncing on her toes, and measuring Shields for a cautious jab, brushing the braids above her right ear but quickly punished as Shields explodes from a one-third crouch to batter the champion with more 1-2s.

Adler's trainer just asked her on her stool if she wants to quit.

 

"Do me a favah? Get in there and coil up, git down in front, and spring up and hook and knock the **** outta her. K thanks."

Round 4

Shields is following, not rushing in recklessly when Adler coyly skirts the ropes, but exploring with a right hand lead on the body. Adler hurt, tries clinching. Shields bashes her on the side of the face with a hook and opens up with more straight combos. Adler ceases her movement and continues just blocking and sidestepping. Big combos by Shields, mixing in more body shots.

Round 5

Shields is stalking Adler, hands dangling by her knees, pressing the elevator call button to flick jabs at her when Adler starts to shift clear of a corner. Shields begins to open up with combinations off the jab. No defense from Adler, so in comes the ref. Waved off.

Don't forget the grape popsicle hued dye in her dreads.

 

She could drop in her 5th at the same age (her birthday isn't until March) to become a 2-division champ by rearranging Christina Hammer's cute, pouty little face.
