Well. WMMA is even more chaotic and hard to predict than regular MMA, so it's kind of hard to gloat. I just think see it as likely based on what I've seen and know about both fighters. Really interesting high level female fight though... Only fights at or near this level should be on UFC card tbh...The rest should go to a separate org. Kind of like what Zuffa had with the WEC for lower weight classes and WMMA(which was confined to Strikeforce initially before Rousey "broke the barriers") Warmed up to a bit and some of these gals have earned my respect... But for the most part the fights are completely laughable and shouldn't take up good card space.

Yeah nowadays I do feel like UFC has way too many low quality fights on their cards. But then again they could be great fighters that I don't know about. The MMA market is very oversaturated right now imo. Too many fighters, too many **** fights.

In this case I was referring to WMMA, but yeah I agree.. Too many fighters, too many cards.. A completely watered down and oversaturated product. But that's just the way the cookie crumbles, that's the new model for pretty much all entertainment... (Video games, movies, sports) etc. Milk it until the masses are sick of it.

Of course you because you are a bigot who hates all the Slavic peoples of the World. FYI the only one who got hurt in their first fight was Nunes but do not let that alter your unbiased opinion.

I'm very curious to see the number of viewers for this.

I just do not find it entertaining at all. I'll watch woman MMA but woman boxing has a very long way to go.

I do not women box and never will. Shields is the home boxer the Net's are trying to make a star of, but I could care less........................women's boxing will never be popular.........................

That sounds like a legit reason to dislike people.

That was a total mismatch Adler took a terrific beating & offered nothing in return. Ref must be censured for letting it go so long

Less excitement than what you have for Katie Taylor across the pond, but more than has been for anyone since probably Layla Ali.

How long until people start seeing P4P talent in one of these up and coming female fighters, irregardless of the entire women's boxing scene being a kids pool with a few sharks swimming in it.

Actually inviting Hammer up (or draining to middleweight) for an overseas battle in Europe is probably the smartest move Shields could make, both financially and in terms of risk-benefit. A dominant victory over Hammer (despite the size advantage) would give her lots more cred with the select few boxing diehards that actually follow the women's scene closely than would pursuing a fully unified clean-out @ 168lbs. Truth be told, while she's quite skilled and could potentially use her length and height to outbox Shields, her ratio of "likelihood of getting KTFO by Shields" to "likelihood of jabbing & clever-tricking her way to a decision over Shields" is less favorable than is Tori Nelson's. Exceptionally short for a super middle (standing 1½" less than even Shields...half an inch less than notoriously diminutive middleweight Curtis Stevens in the men's ranks) and turning 41 years old later this month, Nelson is nonetheless probably the biggest threat in the division. Certainly her résumé is the greatest in the division, blowing away Nikki Adler's for instance. Nelson is crafty and scrappy but has zero power and virtually none of Claressa's phenomenal athleticism. It would have to be an ugly jab-and-grab clinic with plenty of inside mauling just for the older champion to drag her peer - barely over half of her age! - the full 10x2", let alone by some miracle spring the upset on 2-3 judges' cards. Shields, meanwhile, probably wouldn't receive many plaudits for smashing up her nearest U.S. rival - a feather-fisted elderly lady whose drawing power domestically is pennies on the dollar compared with how many Euros are raked in by Christina Hammer events.
