No, I think the guys you mentiond either will get blown out by Wilder or will blow Wilder out. He just isn't going to get the fight people think he needs: A tough, drawn out fight against someone with a good chin, who keeps coming.

Nope, he'll either be starched early or he'll get you out of there early, no middle ground.

You can't deny Wilders power. If he's going to KO them early what can you do?

i think not finding opponents that can take him deep is a pretty good problem for wilders team to have. it certainly beats having guys like sergei taking him 12 rds to a close decision.

It ain't really fair is it? I just cannot bring myself to rate Wilder an' I don't know why. Yeah.. the oppositions been rubbish, but at least on paper Audley and Sergei shoulda given him a coupla rounds pause. Normally a fighter with that kinda KO record who was finally appearing to step up (a little) would have me silly with enthusism, but Wilder? Somehow no.

I don't know what it is , but I think it just seems wrong. A guy who just flails and launches bombs - some part of me wants to see proof that skill will beat raw speed and power. But hell, let's get Wilder in 'gainst a live body. If he keeps getting them KO1s then he'll get his payday - sooner rather than later I'd imagine.

    Guinn, Tua, Toney, McCall.

Let's see if Wilder can knock em out. 3 out of 4 of them are broke enough to do it too.

Hmmm, you could be right, but I don't think he blows any of the top 10 out.

The person he has the best chance of taking out the way hes been taking people out is Fury.

But other then that, Chisora, Arreola, Jennings, these dudes will not get blown out by him, imo.

    We will see though :good

    Good call Shu.

Guinn is exactly who Wilder should fight next, while waiting for Arreola.

Tua is a HORRIBLE idea (even fat and pathetically shot) that could very well backfire.

Even McCall could be too heavy-handed to make the reward worth the risk.

Guinn and Toney are the sort Wilder should be getting his education from.

I doubt he's going to have some sort of technical 12-rounder with lots of feints and holding with these guys. No, if he fights those guys he's either going pretty much do what he did tonight, or he's going to get Sconieresed. That's my position, we'll see!

I'm a little concerned his team will do just that and ignore fights against fighters who may make him look bad in order to get him that big Wlad payday and maximize the hype for it. Wlad's said he wants another U.S. fight, and I think Deontay's only 2-3 KO's away from that fight making economic sense for everyone involved (even if it's not the best move for his career from a development standpoint). If Mitchell can somehow upset Arreola, that path is doable since Wilder would KO Seth in highlight fashion.

While I don't think Wilder's team (or Deontay himself) was planning on SL going down so quickly, dealing with an old, inactive fighter who's been knocked out multiple times always presents that chance.

Ideally, someone at the fringe contender level or a little higher who can give him some rounds will be next up. IB mentioned a couple guys- maybe Fres is that guy, or maybe not. But I don't want to see a guy like Rahman brought in next, that's for sure.

Guinn is taking a breather bfr making one last run.....might be October bfr he's ready to start camp.

i think Eddie Chambers gives him rds w/o Wilder being exposed. Worst case scenario would b a 10Rd dec that's kept close with KDs.

I don't think Tua and McCall are heavy handed anymore at all. Neither one has had a KO in years. Tua would definitely struggle to find his range.

Also, I doubt any of those fighters would have anything greater than a 5% chance of winning at most, but it would give Wilder the appearance of a decent win, and hopefully some rounds.
