I don't see the speed, like at all. Not saying he isn't fast, but nowhere close to Mayweather fast, hell nowhere close to Judah or Khan fast imo.

I get the feeling he's the next Jose Benevidez, not the next Mayweather

    Round 1 Haney 10-9, close
    Round 2 Haney 10-9
    Round 3 Haney 10-9
    Round 4 Haney 10-9
    Round 5 Haney 10-9
    Round 6 Haney 10-9
    Round 7 Haney 10-9
    Round 8 Haney 10-9

Burgos landed a lot of hooks to the body and did much better, but Haney was too elusive and landed enough jabs and straight rights to win it rather easily.

Yeah, I liked Haney a lot against Menard. I really like him tonight against a still viable Burgos. But he does waste a lot of movement right now. As he gets a bit more experienced, he'll learn to tighten the circle and rely more on head movement and angles. His transition from D to O will be smoother as well.

He's got a ton to work with, though.

I think he does. I have seen the pull counter, the lead right hand, the shoulder roll and the movement. He is not fully there and that's why I said shades of Mayweather.

Oh yes because HASEGAWA is still a timely and relevant measuring stick. :dunno

Exactly, this is PBF in his like 19th pro fight against a top class opponent. I don't see this in Haney at all.

Just saying he's beating Burgos in a better fashion than a former world champ and a current p4p.

...just a shame the Hasegawa fight took place 8 years ago and 9lbs south, in what was Hasegawa's third weight class...

All Haney, he walked Burgos down from stat to finish and beat his ass, the ref should probably stop it, Burgos is borderline defenseless.
