Round 1

Ndongeni is leading with a high jab. Haney is circling, back skimming the ropes. No punches from Haney yet half a minute in. Finally he lowers a jab into the stomach, exhaling loudly through his teeth. Ndongeni headhunting with his own jabs. Haney jabbing over the head as Ndongeni stays in a deep squat, leaning in, menacing with stiff up-jabs. Double jab on the belt line by Ndongeni. Haney tries locating him with the jab but Ndongeni slickly careens off to his side. Ndongeni flinches away from a Haney jab and boomerangs in with his own, both of them missing, falling together into a clinch. Body jab by Ndongeni. Chopping right by Ndongeni behind the jab falling in, grazing the cheek and nearly getting clipped with a Haney counter right. Haney is coming forward, jab stuffed on the guard, and looping right diffused as Ndongeni shoves his way into a clinch. Ndongeni is countering with jabs off the ropes as Haney tries pinning him down with his own jab. Lots of jabs on the chest by Ndongeni. Jab on the face by Haney. 1-2 by Haney. Another right hand follow-up by Haney. First power shot of the round for either.

Round 2

Ndongeni is lashing the waistband of Haney with a left hook and then sending a line drive right hand into his face. It works repeatedly, but Haney is also starting to get his timing down with a step-back counter right. Ndongeni is dropped by a right cross as Haney steps with follow-through on his set-up jab, missing an initial cross and then a sweeping left hook before the second cross found the mark. Ndongeni up and dancing around, corner to corner, throwing combos from awkward low angles, torquing & dropping his shoulders in jerkily when Haney approaches. Haney sizes him up from outside and pelts him with a 4-punch combo.
