Round 2

Ramos is staying tight and mobile, working quick rights up the center lane and digging left hooks to the body. Kevlishvili is switching stances and trying to harpoon Ramos with whichever is his rear hand at any given moment. He's just too slow to catch him. Finally Kevlishvili leaps in with a RJJ-in-slow-motion left hook and manages to drop it in place. Jabs to the body by Kevlishvili. Ramos flurries to the body and presses Kevlishvili to the ropes. Kevlishvili tosses a lead left and clips Ramos on the chin to back him off. They both stand and pose. Counter left hook by Ramos. Big flurry misses as Kevlishvili ducks. Hook to the arm by Ramos. HARD right hand by Ramos. Kevlishvili takes it well.

Just to bring some perspective: Kevlishvili gave Ronny Rios (a very good prospect in his own right) a good deal of trouble in the loss to him.

Casey Ramos is doing better against him so far.

Also, don't expect a KO. Kevlishvili showed himself to be quite resilient that night.

 

Round 3

Savage uppercuts landed by Ramos. Kevlishvili is circling around and trying to punch with Ramos, knowing he can't get off first. Ramos is winging long curveballs at the head of Kevlishvili from outside. Not much action, with Kevlishvili circling wide. Ramos is taking aim and launching quick but wide hooks. Kevlishvili is shy out there. Left hook missed by Kevlishvili. Ramos throws a right hand as Kevlishvili matches it with a lead left and they both graze only shoulder.

Round 4

Ramos throws jabs to the body and right hands up top. Kevlishvili keeps inching his way inside but getting cowed by the accuracy and quickness of Ramos. Kevlishvili's hair is getting blown up as though by a salon-grade dryer every time he gets tagged, but he's still coming forward and pressing the fight. Some fairly slick if slow coiling and blocking by Kevlishvili. Ramos isn't hitting him as cleanly for the most part. Stiff jab does land to the forehead and snap Kevlishvili's neck a bit. Kevlishvili paws with his jab from a few feet away in a crouch. Kevlishvili is now moving around very defensively, making Ramos come to him and miss. Ramos digs a hook to the body as it's all he can reach with.

Round 5

Kevlishvili is now flicking right jabs and circling out. Big right by Ramos catches him circling idly. Body shots by Ramos as Kevlishvili leans in and tucks up his guard. Jabs to the face by Ramos. Kevlishvili fires an arm straight up into the air, causing Ramos' fists to ricochet off and fly in the opposite direction. Kevlishvili is darting in and out, not taking the initiative and focusing on defense. Ramos walks him down and takes a flush looping left to the face but isn't even slightly hurt by it. Chopping left by Kevlishvili. Ramos jabs up into his face and ignores Kevlishvili's body shots. 1-2 by Ramos. Kevlishvili keeps moving and gets his hair shaken up off his scalp by another big combo.

Round 6

Ramos is jabbing from outside, and throwing a few lazy right hands as soon as he spies Kevlishvili coming to a rare halt. Kevlishvili keeps moving and switching directions, pot shotting. Body shots by Ramos. Kevlishvili hugs the ropes. Ramos comes trotting after him. Kevlishvili tosses a left hand lead to the body. Ramos flurries into his face. Left hook and HUGE RIGHT HAND by Ramos. Kevlishvili has one solid beard. Up-jab by Ramos. Kevlishvili slips the next jab. Blocks the one after that. Kevlishvili insists on trying to dig that lead left to the body, but keeps paying for it by taking headshots as he ducks in.
