Spence is backing away, scoring the right jab on the face. Cruz walks through the jabs and eats big whack-a-mole lefts. Cruz is pawing with his left jab, taking a smattering of right jabs on the lip as he applies pressure to his own detriment with little gain. Left uppercut on the liver by Spence, bringing the stiff right jab up top as he circles away.

Round 4

Spence is doubling the right jab and placing a left uppercut on the body. Cruz finds him with a right hand and snaps another in straight away, catching him again. Spence blinks it off and circles right. Big scything body shots by Spence on the outside. Right jab and left uppercut combo by Spence as Cruz plods in. Overhand right by Cruz, deflected off the arms. Chopping left by Spence. Double jab, left on the body by Spence. Cruz paws a few left jabs at the face of Spence walking forward. Spence puts out his right forearm into Cruz's gut and holds him off, then works lefts on the body as Cruz jerks at his right arm with both of his own. Spence is putting together right hooks and left uppercuts with his back on the ropes, Cruz unable to corral him. Lead left on the face by Spence, snapping Cruz's head back. Spence throws a 1-1-2 and steps smoothly out to the side.

Round 5

Spence is doubling the right jab and looping the left into Cruz's head. Cruz tries bullying Spence into the ropes with a few right hands and gets in some glancing connects, but Spence is able to brace off with his arm, step around, place Cruz's back on the ropes and tee off with sharp combinations, stepping back to reset his feet. Very pretty boxing from Spence. Left hand over the top by Spence. Cruz is ducking and wringing his upper body around, trying to slip punches as Spence doubles the jab and comes in with the left, but Spence is still landing at a very healthy percentage.

Round 6

Spence is feeding the right jab out steadily and throwing laser-guided lead lefts downstairs. Cruz is stepping in and pushing his left jab out with his foot in the air, stomping down as he finishes the punching motion. Spence makes him pay darting in and out with right jabs and 1-2s. Cruz eats a double right jab and is slowed by a left on the body. Clinch. Cruz hacks with a left jab, blocked. Left hook by Cruz, slow, Spence staring at it while holding back.

Round 7

Spence is throwing straight combos and scooping in left combos as he drives Cruz onto the ropes. Cruz pastes his left glove to his forehead and tries fighting his way free with rights. Looping lefts behind the right jab by Spence, working Cruz over from just beyond Cruz's jabbing range. Cruz is cut by the right eye, pawing at it with his glove and covering it up as he moves. Spence fires lead lefts, perhaps targeting the cut. Cruz knocks them away in midair.

Round 8

Spence is starting to combine chopping left hands and right hooks. Target practice. Cruz's face is getting slung in either direction from the impact of Spence's blows, Spence alternating hands and landing close to everything. Cruz needs his corner to bail him out here. Double left hand between the eyes by Spence, poking with it like a jab. Hard 1-2-1-2 by Spence keeping Cruz on the ropes. Left hand by Spence ducked, Cruz finding a little survival instinct, running on fumes.

Round 9

Spence is leading with left hands on the body and touching Cruz up with double right jabs or hooks. Cruz's left arm starts descending from up by his eyes in a nascent jab and Spence snipes it away with his right. Body shots by Spence at mid-range, leaning in, then straightening up. Cuffing left around the ear by Spence. Cruz is pushed onto the ropes, pawing a weak jab up top and slicing rights at the body, unable to hold Spence off. Double right jab by Spence, planting a left on the belt line.

Round 10

Spence is jabbing Cruz into the ropes and then lighting him up with straight drum-rolls as Cruz buoys himself off and makes his way to center ring, hands down. Spence continuously harries Cruz with the double right jab, one-two, and left uppercut. Cruz is body-checked and spun into the ropes as he tries pivoting to avoid them. Spence is simply sweeping Cruz's protective left glove aside with his right and then snapping a jab and left cross in. Cruz is loading up on right hands, very low, on the crotch of Spence but not bothering him. Cruz has no snap left on his shots. Spence is driving Cruz across the ring, landing a right hook below the eye. Body shots by Cruz, slouched over with his back to the ropes.
