    Round 5

Pryor's jab is still coming in succession but is being pushed a little bit more now. Only about half of the jabs are landing, and Davis is walking through the rest. Davis is now getting into rhythm and landing with upward lunges from either side. Pryor is stepping to him to try and land one of those big right hand hammers. He lands about one out of four. Otherwise it's Pryor jabbing, Davis flailing high, and the two clinching and mouth-breathing. This is a round off for both. Davis works the body up close. Pryor is leaning his upper body back (and his feet a moment later to catch up with it) and popping his 1-2.

    That was the closest round.

    49-46 Pryor

    Round 6

PRYOR NAILS HIM and scrambles his brains with a right hand! Davis covers up and gets scuttled into a corner. Pryor goes to town with both fists. Pryor has energy to spare and isn't smothering himself, just popping the 1-2, maintaining distance, and whacking Davis with full strength. Davis desperately whips the body with both wrists slapping the trunks of Pryor, but Davis is forced to cover or clinch whenever Pryor starts unleashing his power shots. Pryor loads up on a massive axe-like 1-2 but Davis ducks, shoots in and clinches. Davis waits for a quiet moment on the inside and lands a few uppercuts but it isn't nearly enough to steal the round.

    59-55 Pryor

    Round 7

Pryor stays at arm's length and keeps Davis at the painful end of his 1-2. They're more stinging than thudding at this point, as he is a little gassed himself. Davis is exhausted, however. Davis follows Pryor - not intelligently - just lunging in with a jab and slapping with an overhead right. Pryor keeps his elbows tucked together at his chest and blasts Davis whenever the smaller man's own hands aren't moving. Davis is bleeding (cut from a punch in Round 5) and looks despondent.

    69-64 Pryor

this fight should of been stopped awhile ago

Im tired of these dubious last the distance awards. It does nothing but just does the loser more damage than what already is needed.

    Round 8

Pryor with a string of hard jabs, seems to have a second wind. Davis bulls his way in, and presses Pryor back. Davis is throwing very little and eating lots of jabs, though. Davis tries to roll but gets hit with a right. Davis triple hooks but is blocked. They clinch and Davis pushes Pryor to the ropes while a complacent Pryor just allows it. Pryor starts working his jab again as soon as they separate and targets the wound (an inch from the eyebrow) with his right hand from long range. They clinch and Pryor rips him with a nice uppercut while Davis has his head bowed under Pryor's armpit. THREE BIG RIGHT HANDS FLUSH FROM PRYOR! Davis runs away but gets pinned on the ropes! Davis is completely winded but Pryor doesn't have enough left to force the stoppage.

    79-73 Pryor Jr.

    79-73 79-73 and 78-74 for Pryor.

Good. The possibility of a robbery had me nervous.

Aaron Pryor Sr. looked like he was getting flashbacks when they announced his son as the winner.
