    Round 2

Sierra is standing and rotating as Jack circles and then falls in sporadically, chipping at Sierra with jabs up top and rights on the body. A few butts in the clinch. Sierra is grabbing at the sides of Jack's head between his gloves. Jack slinks through and taps Sierra's body, then stays crouching on his way out. Sierra is forced to raise his guard as Jack jabs in, then hit on the body with the right and tied up.

    10-9 Jack

    20-18 Jack

    :deal Either way.

I'm having visions of both Miranda vs. Sierra and Edwards vs. Jack flash through my head...

Jack may not have the power of a Pantera Miranda or Groves, but he probably has nearly as much as Tommy Oosthuizen and certainly more than Canelo's mediocre elder bro Rigo Alvarez (all of the above Sierra conquerors by stoppage)

...and Sierra can definitely wallop as hard as Edwards, at least.

    It's all about ratings.

    Controversy = ratings/page clicks = advertising dollars.

What awful looking match I wish one of them would shatter the others glass jaw, I don't care who.

    Round 3

Sierra is sticking his jab out past Jack's neck as he ducks in and hammers the body with descending digs and straight shots. Jack is staying aggressive but not giving Sierra opportunities to counter or even get set to defend, showing the big disparity in speed and overall athleticism. Jack keeps diving in with body shots and tying up or pushing off in a crouch. Sierra is consistently missing jabs over his back.

    10-9 Jack

    30-27 Jack

Anybody pick up on Farhood's subtle diss of Lampley just now?

Take that, "Hall of Famer". (really Farhood and Bernstein both deserve it more than him...the same way it sucks Donald Curry has been eligible for years but isn't yet in while Arturo Gatti was first ballot...)

    Round 4

Sierra is getting pushed back as Jack stays in close, working jabs and high-climbing rights from the crouch and threshing at the body while leaning in. Sierra is trying to push off and land an uppercut but can't get the spacing he needs. Jack is clinching, letting to, and then firing in multiples, keeping it mixed up to head and body. Sierra is hurt by a body shot. Jack is all over him.

    10-9 Jack

    40-36 Jack

Smoger, interviewed by Farhood, says Trinidad vs. Hopkins and Pavlik vs. Taylor I were his favorite bouts he ever officiated.

    Round 5

Sierra is backing up, hands down, sucking wind, blood streaking down the right side of his face. A few long slow jabs and wide hooks lashed out on the backfoot by Sierra. Jack is diving in face-first, guard up, fishing with body shots. Uppercut on the head inside by Jack, smothering Sierra. Jack is chopping with the right as Sierra backs up. Long jab by Sierra, aiming for Jack's head but not reaching - and would be an inch too high anyway. Jack is staying low and covering up tight. Double hook by Jack, landing on the iliac crest and shoulder.

    10-9 Jack

    50-45 Jack

I'm kinda impressed with Jack's performance tonight.
Basically his opponent would have been a decent size heavyweight back in the old days.

Pavlik vs Taylor 1 is also one of my favs because i was having a ****ty week, flued up in bed all week and my long term girlfriend had just dumped me on the Friday ha but that fight really cheered me up.

Really thought Pavlik was going to be a huge star after that epic win but it wasn't to be.

"Jack has been winning all the rounds, and landing 50% of his power shots... and as (deliberate pause) ...as we have learned time and again, when you land more than 50% of your power shots you are probably in a good position to win...."
