I've got no use for a sloppy Hooker. :-(

 

Round 3

Hooker is driven onto the ropes as Ramos loops in right hands behind the jab and sticks his forearms out to form a barrier, imposing his physicality up close more than damaging Hooker with his punches. Hooker frees himself with a big left hook but is put on the ropes again. Hooker shells up as Ramos digs with hooks to the body and short chops up top. Hooker pivots off the ropes and Ramos follows, stuffing the jab in past Hooker's and forcing him to fight or flee. Light body shots by Hooker working off the ropes. Ramos lands a right hand and keeps moving forward. Hooker flurries off the ropes again.

He also has sparred with Miguel Cotto and Ruslan Provodnikov. atsch That seemed of secondary importance to mentioning Spence, though, and didn't come out until a few rounds later.

 

Round 4

Hooker is switching his jab high and low while preserving distance with quick lateral and outward shuffles of his feet. Ramos is stepping in and out, jabbing the belt line of Hooker. Ramos is doubling his jab up into Hooker's jaw from a slight crouch darting in. Hooker is taking initiative now as Ramos hesitates, double jabbing into the air and then leading with a slap-hook. Ramos is blocking but backing up. Hooker is keeping Ramos out with the hard right hand and maintaining good spacing.

Round 5

Hooker is lining Ramos up for mousetrap right hands, and throwing left uppercut leads while rapidly circling to fire on Ramos' blindside. Hooker is scoring with the overhand right and left uppercut as he keeps Ramos whirling. Ramos dives in with the 1-2 and sweeps hooks at the body, missing in a wild spin or hitting arms. Hooker is dropping combos on Ramos' head while drifting around the ring and staying off the ropes. Ramos marches in with earmuffs on and rips a hard hook to the body. Hooker stays on his toes and executes some nimble footwork to get off the ropes and score a 1-2 on the brow. Big hooks wound up downstairs by Ramos, and he slips on the canvas from the exertion and momentum of missing. Ramos is up and moving forward. Double left tap-hook on the temple by Hooker. Hook downstairs by Ramos.
