I didnt see anything from Taylor.
    One of his worst fights.
Truax blocked almost everything Taylor threw.
Jermaine is shot. he used to have mental lapses few times in a fight. Tonight he looked unfocused 85% of the time.
He can be baited so easily it is scary.

Lol...say he looked shitty, say you think he's ****, he'll say you hated his shorts, but for the love of God spare me the "his speech deteriorated" bull****. I'll go through once, Jermain has and ALWAYS has had a speech impediment, in terms of he stutters like crazy. The way any person who stutters combats that is they instruct you to slow down and think about what you say. That said when a person with such a defined stutter gets excited, as Jermain clearly was, that **** goes out the window and they sound like that. Again say what you want about his performance but there was nothing abnormal (relative to him) about his speech.

For me, the problem isn't the way he talked. It's the content of what he said.

Dude said he's ready for any titlist after looking poor despite a near shutout and getting dropped hard by a padded-record Midwestern schmoe who's king of the rodeo at sub-domestic level but in all honesty a bum by world standards...

He claims he was hoping to get knocked down in his comeback to prove to everybody how resilient he is.

He said he's the best boxer alive.

    I mean...that's some ****ed up ****.

Oh ****ing please, I had it 98-91 Taylor, He schooled Traux outside the KD, I think Traux was a little better then expected, bet Kolle apparently. He actually started clipping Traux late RD 9 and 10. While he is pretty far past his prime, this DOESN'T make him all of a sudden shot to ****.

Tbh imagin being in his position being **** scared of getting punched, then u get knocked down and get up to win, he was probably just so happy that he managed to survive it and get the win, was adrenaline and relief talking at the end LOL, he was funny tho

I was concerned by the look on his face when he went down. I think I've seen that before. He needed to finish Truax in easy fashion. JT at the top of his game lands a hard combo on this guy and then is back in his corner in time to watch him fall. Taylor was afraid to do more than he had to. Sometimes the body will save you from yourself and you just can't help it.

Obviously he was pretty caught up in the moment and got carried away. That said this was a big deal for him personally to "banish this demon" and overcome this adversity. The fact he endured prompted his emotional response, and in his mind was more fulfilling and satisfying than just winning. It was a personal victory, inside the victory, that made him happy.

I like JT just as much as you do, but you have to realize this isn't a career for people to overstay their welcome in.

Yeah. . . Pretty much both fighters proved where they belong in this one fight. . . Truax ain't nothing but a journeyman, and Taylor is still just a shot, and vulnerable.

I would like to see Taylor retire cause that was a performance that we didn't want to see. I mean he's done. But come on guys, after fight he was some reason so pumped up that it was the reason for his slurred speech I guess. Just one fight ago (beating nicklow) he sounded totally normal and there was nothing to be worried about. He just got little bit too excited and that's all.

But still that was a performance that we didn't want too see. Retirement would be a needed thing but it's not gonna happen so I give my all support from Finland to him :good Hopefully everything goes okay and who knows, maybe he can surprise us?

Very well put.:good The problem I see for Taylor is his economic future is probably very limited. The man has had a pretty successful career up till these past few years with the late stoppages. Last night's performance did nothing in my eyes to show he's ready for anything more than being a gatekeeper for up and coming fighters. To even consider a title shot is ridiculous and could result in another hard drumming.

I hope he put some of that purse money away to help him in the future. Let's face it, neither HBO or Showtime are going to come knocking on his door offering an announcer's contract.

Jermains interview last night was one of the funniest in a long time. God bless his soul
