Love is firing the left jab from outside with a long lunging left leg step inside. Love trots counterclockwise, dropping his gloves as he resets. Nothing coming back from Biosse except a few long tentative lefts to the body. Love is jabbing Biosse between the eyes from outside, easily darting in and out and avoiding anything Biosse telegraphs to throw back at him.

Alright, J'Leon, basically just don't have an epileptic seizure in the last three minutes...

His coach tells him the same, "piece of cake, just finish this easy work..."

 

Round 10

Love pushes Biosse into a corner with a flush right hand on the mouth, opening up with a straight flurry on the point of the scalp. Biosse dives into him trying to hold Love around the waist while slapping with a right hook on the hip. Biosse loses his grip and stumbles to his knees and is waved off.

It isn't ****, it's for showcasing prospects (and on extremely rare special occasion, pitting them against each other in 50-50 "someone's 0 must go" type match-ups) in early stages of their development. Why are you holding it up to an unrealistic standard?

ShoBox and FNF shouldn't be held up to the standards you would apply to HBO BAD/WCB or Showtime Championship Boxing.

 

Where did I say "the best"?

Why are you expecting only the best prospects, week in week out? How is that realistic or fair?

The whole point is development. Some guys will develop and some won't. Some who currently seem like "the best" will go bust, while some who fly under the radar will get better and actually do something. You don't know until they cease to be prospects and take a leap toward contention. The point of shows like this is tracking early progress, sometimes in mismatches, sometimes in learning experiences with tough journeymen capable of asking questions of them, and sometimes with prospects at crossroads pitting their zeros against each other. It's a grab bag, but the last thing you should expect is a weekly dose of blue-chip elite vs. blue-chip elite, that's just crazy, why would you expect that?
