Not all Sho Box cards have the best prospects. Are you a boxing scout or just a message board insider?:huh

I've seen worst cards on sho box. This card wasn't the best and it wasn't the worst. Stop bit**ing:nut

Not quite every week, sometimes they go a week or even a few without having a show but they will then have several weeks in a row having one (usually lining up nicely staggered with FNF to make for a roughly four-hour block of reliable Friday night boxing). It's kind of random.

They are fairly common, though. They certainly aren't meant to be some ultra-exclusive "nothing but the BEST prospects, matched tough always" fantasy series.

It's usually enjoyable viewing if you recognize it for what it is and don't ask it to be something it isn't. If you want high-level stuff every time you tune in, you should probably stick to Showtime Championship Boxing and HBO WCB & BAD cards. Basically, Saturday night boxing...where there are usually world titles at stake or at least world-ranked established names doing battle. Friday night boxing isn't for you if you're going to be that picky, it's more for a lower tier of the sport, a level or two down from Saturday night. Occasionally pretty entertaining but not to be compared with championship stock. Lower budget, lower viewership, just not fair to compare them.

I had the main event scored big for Love through nine rounds, 8-1 rounds, 89-81 points. I gave Biosse the 4th for doing his best job forcing himself inside and matching Love for effective shots. The 6th round was 10-8 because of the 1-point deduction for Biosse twice spitting out his mouthpiece. Love fought very effectively throughout by mostly staying at arm's length from from Biosse and peppering him with lefts, TONS of rights, and combinations that worked the head and (especially early on) the body. Biosse had his only success by bullrushing his way inside and using his head, yet even then Love almost always was outlanding him in the exchanges. Finally in the last two rounds, Biosse gave up the bullrushing, and was just getting picked apart from distance. The stoppage in the 10th was fair, but could have happened anytime in the previous several rounds. Love should be disappointed he couldn't get Biosse out after his utterly dominant 3rd round, which he could have won 10-8. But Love is an accumulator, not a 1-punch power puncher. That might limit him at the heavier weight, but tonight I thought he looked good against a difficult opponent who looked to spoil the fight with his tactics.
