    Round 1

Diaz throws a heavy looping combo. Asselstine blocks it but loses his footing, slipping on a wet spot on the canvas and ending up lying on his side. Ruled not a knockdown, correctly. Diaz is flicking jabs into Asselstine's right mitt, keeping it quiet and preventing Asselstine from unrolling the southpaw jab. Left hook by Diaz, buzzing Asselstine. 1-1-2 by Diaz, sharp punches up the center lane forcing Asselstine to back up and stay covered. Asselstine thrusts a right jab at the body and turns Diaz after scoring a left on the frontal lobe, slapping Diaz across the lower back with a right hook. Diaz stretches out some left jabs into the air, cowing Asselstine into the ropes.

    10-9 Diaz

That one loss on Asselstine's record, to Baha Laham - ignore that bull****. Asselstine boxed that kid's ears off.

A dominant victory here is an impressive feat, should Diaz manage it.

    Round 2

Asselstine lands a solid left hand from outside. Asselstine is blocking and dancing around Diaz, catching jabs and 1-2s on his goalposts and countering with long right hooks and straight lefts. Diaz is bulldogging in with quick power flurries off the jab, but not penetrating Asselstine's defenses. Asselstine is turning Diaz and working the right jab on a paddle-ball string, just grazing with it at times.

    10-9 Asselstine

    19-19

    Round 3

Asselstine is throwing right jabs and left crosses at the body, reaching down and in from outside while holding up his posture, stiffly vertical. Diaz punches with him and gets him with the first jab on the lip every time, occasionally landing again in the sequences with right hands and left hooks. All mid range action.

    10-9 Diaz

    29-28 Diaz

    Round 4

Right hook, left hand by Asselstine. Diaz is leading with rights on the cut left eye of Asselstine, sometimes throwing light single jabs and then changing it up suddenly with hard 1-2s. Asselstine is blocking less and grabbing more. Diaz ducks a right hook and forces Asselstine to flee with a right hand up from a crouch and left hook stepping in, both missing. Asselstine is circling to his left, putting out the right jab and then backhanding with it to knock Diaz's jabs away.

    10-9 Diaz

    39-37 Diaz
