González is jabbing, barking, shuffling his feet around, retracting his left foot when Ramos starts toeing over it with his right...and Ramos is definitely stepping on him on purpose, make no mistake. Ramos is a cheeky guy, looking to wear González out and trap him with a big overhand left, blatantly obvious. He tries a few, tipping his cards, but can't hit paydirt. González is getting bolder, however, jumping in with lead southpaw uppercuts before switching back to orthodox and dancing around within reach swabbing at Ramos with left jabs. Ramos catches him with a flush right hook on the cheek but of course doesn't follow up.

Round 8

González is doubling left hooks on the body, throwing big lead right uppercuts, and just pounding away on a submissive Ramos. It was a ruse, it turns out, as Ramos explodes with the combo he's been shoring up - but for naught, as he misses every punch with González's nervous kinetic energy allowing him to dance outside the moment Ramos starts firing. Body scratches by González looming over Ramos. Left uppercut by Ramos but too close to be effective, no leverage.

Aw, unfair, that pooch has much nicer eyes (and overall prettier features...and glossier, more luxuriant coat) than Serena.

 

Fury and Wilder are both so embarrassing. Somehow them jawing at each other in a clearly prearranged (if not fully scripted) WWE style promo is worse than just the sum of their parts. Exponential cringe.

 

Fury crashes a Wilder post-fight interview and steals/paraphrases a line from Ricky Hatton ("there's only oooooooone Tyson Fury!"), and then Wilder crashes Fury post-fight interview and steals/paraphrases a line from Muhammad Ali ("if you dream about getting my WBC belt, you better wake up to apologize")

Like, if you're going to borrow material, at least don't have your delivery be cheesy and unmemorable. God I hate these guys. I can't wait for the Povetkin-Joshua winner to destroy whichever of them ends up in the opposite corner in this unification dance.
