Round 1

Fernández is swatting low with jabs and hooks and rifle-blasting a right hand into the chest and clavicle of Foster, who is dancing around, side to side, keeping his chin up above water, using quick feet and raising his guard whenever Fernández steps close. Foster is carefully reaching in with isolated jabs & rights, never getting too greedy, and very wary of Fernández's power. Foster boxing smart, and showing really nice movement early on. Fernández stalking, grazes the body with a right hand falling in as Foster is gliding by the ropes. Fernández is only ever getting a piece of the body with single punches as Foster traipses around, twisting under fire and mostly staying clear.

10-9 Fernández, but looking unspectacular by his standards thus far.

 

Yeah, he'll probably end up at 140lb at least before all's said and done.

 

Round 2

Fernández is chasing after Foster, who still has plenty of grease on his skates. Fernández having a hard time catching up to him, and isn't bothering to measure with the jab, throwing left hooks at the head or harpooning the body with rights but only ever grazing from outside. Foster content to make Fernández lunge while skimming the ropes with his back, double-jabbing on the belt line to create room but not mounting any serious offense. Foster is perhaps stalling in the hopes of dragging Fernández into deeper water. Giving away the first two rounds simply by not attempting to land any clean punches.

10-9 Fernández, but only because Foster isn't throwing anything with conviction... really disastrous return to US television for Jonfer, between the undercard and now this start to his performance...
