Actually he didn't have to steal the 7th for me. It was handed to him on a platter. Arroyo missed plenty, but landed some damaging stuff. Sanchez didn't do anywhere near enough offensively. Landing some almost always wins out over throwing next to nothing.

Man, what a shitty lineage the WBA's North American title has.

First awarded to Saul Montana for beating Uriah Grant, and defended once against Tiwon Taylor.

    ~ vacated ~

Four years later, Dale Brown gets the vacant NABA title by beating Greg Wright...and defends once against Kevin Petty.

    ~ vacated ~

Sixteen months later, Chris Thomas beats Tipton Walker.

    ~ vacated ~

Eight months later, Chad Van Sickle beats Aaron Jaco and defends once against Jeff Yeoman before losing the belt to Shaun George.

Shaun George then hot potatoes it to Matt Godfrey, who defends twice against Danny Batchelder and Felix Cora Jr.

    ~ vacated ~

    Rob Calloway beats Galen Brown

    ~ vacated ~

Sixteen months later, Bobby Gunn beats Brad Gregory.

    ~ vacated ~

2 1/2 years later, Lateef Kayode beats Matt Godfrey and then defends once against Felix Cora Jr.

Compare to the much other, much more respectable North American Cruiserweight title of the NABF (also currently held by Kayode but for some reason not put up for grabs against Cora...unless Kayode decided the NABA sanctioning fees were easier on the wallet and was too cheap to pay both, so he dropped it :conf)

They at least have names like Neon Leon Spinks, Smoking Bert Cooper, Orlin Norris, Tommy Hearns, O'Neill Bell and Vadim Tokarev in their lineage.

Any of those guys at their shittiest & most shot probably beats everyone who ever competed for the NABA. :yep

So true IB. What a contrast of quality.
The Cruiserweight division seems to only get going once there are at least 2 hot names or else they move up or down away and steer clear of it.
    It is a unique weightclass.

lateef kayode sucks.....felix cora outlanded him and did enough to win the fight. Ive seen kayode fight 3 times now and i watched him clearly lose twice.

Not a fan of Kayode, a KO would be nice.
