Round 1

Kayode shells up and watches Iannuzzi, who changes directions several times and jabs from the outside while circling. Iannuzzi has a weird jab, delivered in a spinning motion with his palm turned almost upside down while cocked. Kayode just waits on him, letting him waste energy. Kayode stalks and stalks as Iannuzzi runs and weird-jabs. Kayode rocks him with a short hook and Iannuzzi stumbles away. Kayode presses inside and Iannuzzi clamps his arms around Kayode's to squeeze them together before retreating again. Iannuzzi hops around and jabs some more. Kayode takes calm short steps as Iannuzzi turns him. Iannuzzi shoeshines but Kayode blocks everything. Big hook from Kayode just misses. Iannuzzi dances on the outside and gets caught with a couple of hooks at the bell, getting the last word in with a blocked flurry.

Round 2

Iannuzzi slaps with a long hook and uses a lot of footwork on the outside. Jabs from Iannuzzi. Kayode is just following behind his high guard and not punching much other than some jabs to the body. Iannuzzi has several leaping hooks blocked as he darts in and out. Kayode fires sharp jabs out of his tight guard. Double jab and cross are blocked by Kayode. Iannuzzi eats some jabs and circles off the ropes. Iannuzzi keeps his distance. Kayode follows lands a few upjabs to the face and an uppercut to the body as Iannuzzi tries to clinch. Triple jab by Kayode through Iannuzzi's gloves. Iannuzzi lets a short combo go and hits glove. They clinch up and Kayode works his free right hand against Iannuzzi's body.

 

Round 3

Lead right from Kayode. Iannuzzi is tossing jabs from the hip as he circles on the outside, shamelessly running. Kayode takes big-boy steps forward and tries to swing low with a hook and gets countered over the top by Iannuzzi. Kayode keeps coming forward and blocks a combo that leaves Iannuzzi in grabbing range, where Kayode gets an arm around him but has him spin out. Kayode chases with his jab as Iannuzzi leans away while quickly backpedaling. Sudden burst of punching by Iannuzzi; a lead right followed by a hook leaping forward. Iannuzzi is slapping with some long and loose punches from the outside. Kayode takes everything Iannuzzi has to offer on the wrists and forearms but hasn't done much work offensively. :think

 

Round 4

Iannuzzi is circling very rapidly to his left and gets some body hooks off while Kayode follows him like a giant Clottey. A few lead right hands from Kayode fall short as Iannuzzi strings together left hooks and right hands from long range, picking Kayode off with head shots just above his clenched fists. Kayode finally catches up to him and grabs and lands a couple of hard left hooks to the body, but he didn't do nearly enough before that.

Round 5

Kayode is catching 1-2s on his gloves and trying to jab low. Iannuzzi puts together slapping side-to-side combos as Kayode advances on him. Kayode sticks his forearms out and tries to shove Iannuzzi into the ropes but can't catch up to him in time as Iannuzzi uses his quicker feet to escape time after time. Iannuzzi keeps getting walked into the ropes but squeaking by Kayode. Iannuzzi throws his right hand and forces Kayode back a step despite being blocked. Kayode double jabs and then gets a right cross through that forces Iannuzzi to back up while he tries to complain to the ref (maybe saying it landed on the back of the head?). Iannuzzi is hurt and Kayode follows but gets blocked with his additional power punches. Iannuzzi narrowly slips a lead right that whistles past his chin.

 

Round 6

Kayode lands a lead overhand right that knocks Iannuzzi into a corner but can't keep him there. Iannuzzi reaches in with long-armed missiles, touching Kayode's face now that Kayode has brought his hands down a bit. There isn't a ton on Iannuzzi's punches but he's landing very cleanly. Both guys showboat a little by raising their hands up as Kayode is hit with a flush uppercut. Iannuzzi just keeps letting his hands go while moving constantly on the outside. Kayode times him with a left hook and hurts him! Kayode stays on him and lands a couple of jabs. Iannuzzi tries to pitch forward and push him away. Kayode trains his jab on Iannuzzi's chin and clips him with the very tip of his glove. BIG right cross from Kayode after missing a jab. Rabbit punch with the right hand by Iannuzzi as Kayode leans into him.

Very interesting fight.
