Well, both prospects got pushed a little further than expected by their opponents (although Franco was taking a big step up in only his 9th professional fight) and you could say that both disappointed a little given how much excitement they'd generated with past performances.

What's weird about it is that the flaws that both Kayode and Franco showed tonight were nothing new.

We already knew that Kayode was too low-volume despite having phenomenal power.

We already knew that Franco was extremely slick and athletic but didn't sit down on his punches well.

Yet these flaws were overlooked heading in, where both were heavily favored and not expected to struggle with these opponents. :think

Hell of a night. Kayode is very very lucky to have gotten that win, and Franco-Miranda was a hell of a fight that could have went either way.

Franco was tested and should learn from this, the guy was a heavy handed with 25 KO in 26 wins, you don't c a prospect facing this kind of artillery so soon in their career, kudos to Franco for taking on live fighters, and he fought Miranda's fight next time he should stick with what works for him, by the way he was telling Miranda that he will fight him again any time and anywhere, he told him to talk to his ppl, this was in Spanish right after the winner was announce.

It was a heck of a fight, he fought Miranda's fight that was his mistake and when he sits on his punches the opponent sees the difference, just ask Miranda in the 8th, and who takes a fight against a guy wit 26w 2lL and 25 ko on his 9th fight? Just name two fighters that has done this in recents years, they can't b Cubans.

Yep...turns out he lost twice to Cuban amateurs.

Juan Carlos Gomez, and this guy:

He also had a three-bout rivalry with Diosvani Vega. Tarver won all three times on points but the first was razor thin and he got knocked down.

I don't care about nationality. Franco kept sitting in front of the guy letting him punch away. Regardless of how many fights Franco has he is 29 and not going to get any better. He's on a fast road to nowhere. Oh and Miranda isn't that good. He beat a bunch of bums, lost to a guy with a losing record and got stretched by a guy with no power. Franco would get bashed by quite a few guys at 126.

And you can c all this in just one fight? Quite the expert you are, it could had been that Miranda fought the best fight of his life and Franco fought his fight, that could change next time out, what I saw was that he made that fight harder than for himself, if he had boxed the whole 10 rounds it would had been easier, but he prove that he has hard and is willing to mix it up, and got some chin to go along with his speed and boxing skills.
