Perez looked momentarily stunned by a stiff jab. Otherwise, he appears to be winning the round.

    Round 2

Figueroa hooks, blocked. Figueroa throws a jab. Perez lands a stiffer jab past him. Hard body shots by Perez. Hook to the face by Figueroa. Right hand by Figueroa, lunging and falling short and opening up to a hard counter hook to the mane by Perez. Uppercut by Perez backs Figueroa up. Stiff up-jab by Figueroa, through Perez's guard. Hard right hand lead by Figueroa, but Perez ducks off to his left and flips out a blistering counter combo while moving laterally. HARD double jab by Perez, breaks through Figueroa's guard and taps him on the head. Clinch. Figueroa slaps with his left while held. Perez ducks several swatting hooks and lands a flush uppercut beneath the chin. Perez is getting into rhythm. Right to the body by Perez, always moving. Figueroa comes forward, trying to exchange left hooks to the body. Perez is getting in and out too quickly to take more than half of what he's dishing out. Left hooks to the body by Figueroa as they're leaned together. Perez backs up and Figueroa lines him up with a right hand to the face backing up.

10-9 Perez, big clear round for the Artist despite the strong finish by Figueroa in the last thirty seconds.

    19-19

Maybe the finish by Figueroa added some " Bias " but I thought it was a draw.

Perez definitely has the better skills, but Figueroa seems determined and has the pressure. I like Figueroa.

Figueroa dives in with some thudding overhand shots cowing Perez to the corner. Body shots by Figueroa. Perez turns his left shoulder around with his arm held down to shield his body while backing up. Body shots traded. Figueroa boxing southpaw, jabbing hard with his right on the front foot. Clinch. Perez parries a right jab with his left and then tries to land a quick chopping right hand of his own. Lead right by Figueroa lands flush. Body shots by Perez. Figueroa lands to the body and then head with a climbing hook attack. Perez dances in either direction, shifting weight to either foot. Figueroa marches forward and they trade left hooks to the cheek from long range. Perez was a little stunned. Big left hook by Figueroa. Combo by Figueroa, making Perez wilt back against the ropes. Perez holds.

Figueroa is a grinder! Hurts Perez! I like what I see.

I liked Perez's body work in the opening 2 rounds, and it seemed to be taking it's toll on Figueroa. But that jab in the 2nd that stunned Perez momentarily seems to have been a turning point. Figueroa's done some good work to the body himself in the 3rd, and I've scored the 3rd to him.

    29-28 Perez.

    29-28 Perez.

Figueroa hurting Perez at the end of the round, pressure quite obviously getting to Perez here.

This is a ****ing awesome fight.

    RD1: 10-9 Figueroa
    RD2: 10-10
    RD3: 10-9 Figueroa

    30-28 Figueroa

Again you could have it a shutout for Perez. Tough to score.
