Round 1

Ramos circles out as the much taller Beltran drops some jabs down at him. Ramos pops his line drive right jab up at Beltran's beard. Lots of movement by Ramos. Straight left to the body by Ramos. Beltran jerks his head around while coming forward, trying to feel Ramos out. Left hook to the body by Beltran, leaning over. Ramos pops his jab, steps to his left and throws a long left uppercut from outside. High right jab by Ramos drifting to his right before circling back wide to his left. Ramos throws a right hook underneath a Beltran left hook. Brief clinch. Ramos throws a lead left and right hook to slow Beltran's advance. Beltran keeps coming forward, hulking over Ramos but isn't letting his hands go. A trickle of right jabs from Ramos. Beltran swipes and misses. Right hook by Ramos.

Raymundo Beltran seems like the kind of guy who would accept a wad of Benjamins and murder a young child with his bare hands for you.

Round 2

Ramos jabs and stays low, letting Beltran miss with high stabs and wide slashes over his head. Headbutts! Ramos lands a lead left. Beltran trips over his own feet throwing a lead right. Ramos is crossing his right forearm out to prevent headbutts now when they come together. Ramos darts in with a right jab and then slaps a hook off it. Big right hook by Ramos, falls short and nearly leaves him open but he's able to recover before the slow Beltran can exploit him. Ramos shoves Beltran back to the ropes with arms digging into his midsection. Ramos blocks on a high guard.

Round 3

Big slapping combo by Ramos, landed well! Punctuated with a right hook, had Beltran a bit wobbled off balance (but not really hurt much) against the ropes). Ramos is really opening up. Beltran is trying to meet him punch for punch but still missing a lot. Ramos lands a HARD southpaw 1-2. Left to the body by Ramos. Another dig. Beltran throws some straight head shots but can't connect. Ramos squats down and jabs up. Beltran suddenly lands a looping right and a left hook, rocking Ramos to either side! Ramos' face bursts like a melon!! Cut bad. Ruled from a headbutt. Maybe those punches just worsened it. Real bad, being looked at. Doctor is shaking his head, saying they need to keep a close watch on it and barely giving his consent to go on. A minute left. They clinch and wrestle. Beltran lands another combo, same on - looping right and left hook to either side of the head. Ramos bleeding badly. Ramos tries to spear up with the right jab but Beltran is hanging back, straight and tall. BIG left hook by Beltran walking forward and initiating an exchange. Another exchange just before the bell, and Ramos lands a 1-2.
