Nuñez is turning inward, gyrating starboard above the waist and cheating his bicep out to intercept Arrieta's jabs, then cranking hard rights into the ribcage, both straights and can-openers. Nuñez starts to walk through Arrieta body combos to cuff him across the back of the head with left hook leads. Nuñez chopping now with the right at point blank, attempting to hack down Arrieta's guard. Arrieta with uppercut flurries, going below the belt a few times accidentally, on the ref's blind side. Nuñez pushes him from an inside lean-to with a guiding hand on the chest and they swap flurries.

Power and timing versus speed and volume, digging this match-up.

 

Round 3

Both combatants are digging hard on the body, grinding in and unloading with combos until they're low on steam and then clinching or slinking away to regroup. Each belting the other in the nape during these liminal periods as they're withdrawing. Arrieta will land 6 or 7 quick body shots and then get almost folded in half by a couple of hard uppercuts downstairs from Nuñez, who also is planting a couple on the underside of the jaw and making Arrieta blink.

Slow fourth round, lots of holding and leaning on the inside - and posing and waiting on the outside. Both taking a breather after setting more of a torrid pace in the first three. Nuñez edges it with cleaner shots although not a ton of those for either.
