Round 1

Caballero is pushing Roman back with his jab and quick right hand. Roman covers up and circles, poised and intelligently defending but unable to get anything off and wary of Caballero's hand speed. Right to the body by Caballero darting in low and back out. Roman jumps backward as Caballero soars in with a 1-2. Roman waves a jab out, then backs up with his arms folded against his chest as Caballero darts in and drops a triplet on his body. A few jabs by Roman, slipped and slap-parried by Caballero coming forward, then bypassed with his own quick jab. Strong jab to the head by Caballero, over the tightly held gloves of Roman. Right to the body by Caballero.

Watching and listening to Manuel, you get the idea he's undergone shock therapy at some point in his life. Like maybe half of it.

Round 2

Caballero is jabbing from outside, getting square and setting Roman up for rapid blasts of jabs and rights in succession, half a dozen at a time. Roman begins to find Caballero's face with the jab throwing with him, but is getting vastly outlanded by the quicker-handed and more active young fighter. Double jab, BIG RIGHT HAND by Caballero. Roman down!! He's up quickly, and rides it out until the bell.

Round 3

Caballero is jabbing out of a tight shell, pushing it strongly into Roman's face and retracting in time to block Roman's (which allows him plenty of reaction time as it is). Caballero is controlling Roman with the jab, positioning him around the ring with it and looking to find a home for his right hand but not forcing the issue, letting it come if and when the opening comes naturally. Caballero wins the round with his aggressive left jab.

Round 4

Caballero jabs and goes left, content to wait on the outside as Roman watches him. Caballero leaps in with a slicing right hand, too far out, then a left that also misses. Roman is staying back, fully on defense. Leaping left hook by Caballero, caught and held after missing. A few body taps in the clinch by Caballero. Roman loads up an overhand right and gets cracked with a combo to the face. Roman lands a left hook to the body and decides to follow up with a few more, pushing Caballero to the ropes. They clinch and slap each other on the back.
