You knew Araiza wasn't going to get a decision win anyway. Araiza lost though. Gave up too many of the early rounds.

I don't think Ayala is going to push him the way Araiza did Caballero.

    This is basically an execution.

The "US prospect" who KO'd Ayala was David Rodela, who was beatin by Eloy Perez in a 10UD and KO'd by Luis Ramos Jr.

 @ Ayala using the accursed "Golden Boy" nickname.

Ever since Oscar, it hasn't gone well when people adopt that.

    Linares - KTFO (twice)
    Danny Jacobs - KTFO
    Ayala - well, let's see...

Yeah but he did have a couple of decent wins (Gamalier Rodriguez and former champ Kevin Kelley)

Didn't catch the 1st fight. Seems a little closer than the scores would indicate, a little closer than the powers that be would have wanted too.

    PS- Figueroa is an animal.

    Round 1

Figueroa bulls in on the taller Ayala, churning his right jab and looking to land a big left. Ayala backs up to the ropes, hiding behind his forearms. Flurry by Figueroa jumping in on Ayala against the ropes. Big left hand, has Ayala rocked and looking to hold on. Figueroa bashes at him before the ref can break them. The ref gives Ayala a stern warning for all the sticky holding. Ayala desperately holds again as soon as they're separate and is warned again. Big drum roll combo by Figueroa backing Ayala to the ropes. He then judo-tosses Ayala to the canvas and Lou Moret warns him not to do that anymore. Ayala opens up throwing some high slapping shots, and Figueroa staggers him at the bell with a counter hook.

    10-9 Figueroa

Figueroa is scary. Him vs. Bam Bam in about a year could be awesome.

Lol.......at the ref reading the riot act to Ayala. The guy is in there on borrowed time. Let him hold a bit.

    Round 2

Ayala is backing up and throwing long whipping right hands. Figueroa just walks through them willingly and tries to body up close against Ayala to tee off with hooks. Figueroa is switching back and forth between orthodox and southpaw. Ayala is pushing with his left jab while backing up to the ropes, then giving up his height and leaning in to grab. More warning by Moret. Ayala keeps holding. Figueroa settles down as orthodox, and stuffs a left jab up in Ayala's face while coming forward low. Ayala holds him. Figueroa nails him with a big hook!! Ayala is hurt!! Trying to hold!! Figueroa keeps pummeling the body, a few to the head!! Finally Ayala goes down!! Moret counts...and then waves!

    KO!!!
