Ramos' mouthpiece makes him look like the bucktoothed tow truck in Cars.

    Round 1

Ramos takes some jabs on his forearm held parallel to his body. Ramos is slow to get going offensively but lands a nice short hook. Quick lead right lands for Ramos. Valdez is trying to work both arms in a pincer motion to trap Ramos between his punches on the inside. Valdez slaps a jab down across Suavecito's forehead, his cleanest connection yet. Ramos is not bringing a lot of output but is defending well, using his feet to skirt around the outside and make Valdez miss without moving his head or gloves too much. Valdez reaches with jabs and turns southpaw, reaching with both hands but getting dodged.

Ramos has yet to settle his feet and sit down on a shot/combo.

    Round 2

Valdez chases Ramos into a corner, and Ramos jumps inside and clinches. Right uppercut by Ramos. Valdez shoeshines low, and is then hit with a hard and quick right hand before they come together and bounce skulls a bit. Ramos gripes about it and in subsequent clinches makes sure to get his arms up high to push Valdez's head down and away from his own. Valdez is chasing in the southpaw stance, flicking right jabs but not sticking them. Ramos is backed into a corner and again resolves the situation by charging in low toward Valdez and hugging him around the chest. Valdez pressures and eats a counter hook as Ramos circles away. Valdez keeps jabbing and Ramos parries. Valdez pushes him into a corner and shoulders into him. Ramos scrapes his way out to the middle of the ring and Valdez is right back on top of him. Awkward clinch, and Ramos keeps his head jerked back as far as possible to avoid being butted, looking nervous.

    Ramos 20-18 I guess.

Neither is terribly effective but at least Ramos is making Valdez miss virtually everything he throws...even if there's very little coming back.
