Derevyanchenko is bossing Ayala with the jab, letting it flutter out in place without retracting after landing it once, making Ayala flinch and drop to one side, leaving his flank open for a Derevyanchenko body assault. Derevyanchenko is getting off threes and fours while Ayala struggles to lay so much as one brushing jab or wind-up climbing hook on Derevyanchenko's blindside.

Derevyanchenko is landing jabs and lead rights at will, changing it up from boredom more than anything. Ayala is turning his shoulder in, backpedaling, slouching - nothing working. Derevyanchenko is able to rip into him with three, four, or five punches at once effortlessly. Ayala starts to flounder on the ropes. Left hooks, dragnet rights, and uppercuts with both hands by Derevyanchenko keeping Ayala on the ropes. Thirty seconds remaining. Body shots by Derevyanchenko. Ayala throws a lazy jab and takes a HUGE right hand on the cheek, turning his head all the way around. Ayala hangs on, then dashes to his right. Ayala runs out the round.
