Is it worth rewinding and watching?

Your "satire" doesn't even make sense. Nobody said Khytrov sucked. Hergecovac and I both merely suggested that he is closer to average than ATG. Not an insult - most televised boxers are. Hell, most titlists are.

You're the one that's way off where he is concerned. You like his style, understandably, exciting as indeed his style is. You can't just categorize him as potentially special because you want him to be, though. He isn't Golovkin level special (nor will he ever be). He isn't Kovalev level special (nor will he ever be). He isn't even half the prospect the infinitely more well-rounded Derevyanchenko is.

All that said, he's very good, powerful with a strong amateur pedigree and can probably knock out all but a dozen middleweights. Nobody is saying he's a bum. YOU (along with a few others) are overrating the hell outta Khytrov, however, and warrant a little bringing down to earth.

I'm a fan of Khytrov and his style, but he is more bam bam Rios than the second coming of Kovalev.

Well, you said you found Prograis vs. Cowart boring, right?

If you didn't like that, probably not worth rewinding, no.

This was as one sided (but a higher skill level)

As far as Khytrov and Derevyanchenko, I think they're both excellent talents, Sergey is the more skilled of the two, but Khytrov has more power, and sometimes that's a better asset than pure skill, he body punches were already having an effect on Brinson by round 5 and he pulverized him in the last 3 rounds, Ievgen needs to work on a few things but he's still pretty damn good, Brinson has only been stopped once by Andre Dirrell a SMW, and Brinson is a good 4 or 5 round fighter. Khytrov didn't look great but he got the job done in devastating fashion.

I mean, FFS dude, you bent over backwards to give Khytrov the relatively closer (but still clear to Brinson) 3rd and 4th. That's a stretch. :yep

Yeah its worth it, the come forward pressure fighter beat the living c*** out of the "boxer", so it was a reverse of the first fight.

You're way too harsh sometimes, like with Lemieux you said he'd lose to Rosado and to N'Dam but he didn't.... he destroyed them both, like I said he would, but you still don't like giving David credit either, obviously I'm more in love with power puncher's than you are I will admit Ievgen looked a little shoddy tonight, but he still will probably end up making more of an impact than Sergey will, even though Sergey is the more skilled guy.

If I was officially doing a RBR I'd have given the third to Brinson:yep the fourth was close though.

I guess it'll depend on matchmaking at the end of the day. If they feed Derevyanchenko to Golovkin (while he's even close to prime) while maneuvering Khytrov through guys he can bash up - namely, anyone that isn't both slick and iron-chinned, and middleweight is fairly bereft of guys fitting that bill...Michel Soro the only guy that immediately springs to mind, and maybe Eubank Jr. to a lesser extent on both counts - he may end up being more successful.

Sounds worth it! Which of the guys were supposed to be like Gennady and Lemieux.
