    Round 5

Martin is trying to be a Mayweather, backing up with his left hand low and taking aim with lead rights while moving. Del Valle is landing better than ever, putting quick flashy hooks and straight rights together while putting Martin on the ropes. Flush shots bouncing off Martin's forehead as he tries to get cute and push out jabs on the back foot. Again Martin is trapped on the ropes as Del Valle jabs through his guard and lands rights to the body. Martin is landing his own jab and 1-2 while circling but isn't keeping Del Valle off. Another 1-2 by Martin.

    50-45 Del Valle

Del Valle took control again in round 5. Don't know what the commentators saw, but I saw Del Valle beating up on Chris in the 5. 10-9 Del Valle that round.

    49-46 Del Vall through 5.

Del Valle seems to be well in control of the fight. I don't know why the commentators keep hyping Chris when he looks to be losing the rounds. Del Valle lanuing upstairs and downstairs. Another round for Del Valle.

10-9 Del Valle in rd 6

    59-55 Del Valle.

    Round 7

Martin has turned southpaw now. Martin moves in and trades jabs with Del Valle. Big left hook knockdown by Del Valle!!! Martin bowled over into a reverse somersault, head over heels! Martin gets up and survives, flopping around a bit on unsteady legs and leaning in against Del Valle up close. Uppercut by Del Valle. Long lean-in by Martin, quasi-clinching. Martin slides back and ducks as Del Valle comes forward trying to pick at him with jabs and uppercuts. Del Valle is warned for punching on the break. Referee Gary Ritter promises to "take care of that", presumably referring to Martin's spoiling tactics of leaning and holding.

    10-8 Del Valle

    69-63 Del Valle
