Newman is bracing against Hernández and shoving off to explode with hooks and uppercuts inside, a half-pace off, but Hernández is still finding him chopping down with counter overhand rights. Newman landing a tad more.

They both land on the nose in the first ten seconds in a heated medium-close range exchange. Hernández is rolling up his left shoulder and dropping his chin away, stretching himself 45 degrees around, catching Newman's lead rights on his flipped-up elbow. Hernández starts to grind his way in and chop down at the base of the neck and head of Newman as the latter ducks & swivels. Newman showing off his athleticism on defense, but still getting clouted at times. Newman tries piercing the guard with the 1-2 but Hernández keeps his arms tightly squeezed together and waits for an opening to counter - and smacks Newman across the gob with a hook, not a word about it from the commentators. Most flush shot of the round.
