To be clear, this is Kevin Jerel Johnson the welterweight (born in Detroit but now based in Las Vegas) and not Kevin Blue Johnson the heavyweight professional distance-goer?

If that's who you mean, then yeah, he's on. Doing...alright. Kind of an uninspired light spar between him and Richardson Hitchins so far. Two rounds in.

They couldn't have made the Knight vs. Torroba rematch the co-main and scheduled it for ten rounds instead?

Was honestly a lot more watchable.

 

He is frustrating Hitchins (and correctly pointed out in his pre-fight interview shown between rounds that Hitchins telegraphs his shots pretty badly and is lazy about retracting his arms) - making him not look too hot, but can't say I've found a round for him yet after three. Both guys are boxing very cautiously, and impressing more on defense than offensively.

 

Third was closer, but still belonged to Hitchins.
