    Could any other lightweights have taken these shots that Linares failed to? He seemed to get caught cold and wasn`t strong enough at the higher weight.

    I thought he was too big and too strong, and that is why he gave Lomachenko problems :lol: At least according to Loma fans. Turns out Cano just destroyed that notion. Fact is that the same would have happened at 135 had he fought a Cano type there. There is a reason that Linares was matched so softly, in Felix Sturm type matchups between losses.

    They built Linares back up slowly. He then got an easy title shot.
    The entire lightweight division has been weak for a long time now. It's not that Linares was matched softly, it was that there was no one truly good around him.

    Linares is a decent fighter and Loma was unable to exploit his physical weaknesses. Cano on the other hand could. Cano was bigger, stronger and the moment he landed, Linares felt it.

    And how did Cano "destroy the notion" that Linares was too big for Loma? (I don't think he was too big, but wtf did Cano prove?)

    But Cano is heavier than 135 they don`t punch like this at lightweight.

    He was fighting soft opposition, regardless of circumstance. He wasn't in the same league as Broner, Valero or Crawford at lightweight. Linares is above avg as a fighter. A good, but over rated fighter in a weak lightweight division.

    He wasn't too big for Loma, it's the excuse Loma fans made though. Linares was a real lightweight. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of some people. The other comment was just trolling them.

    Styles make fights. Loma isn't a physical, heavy handed fighter. Therefore this was a skills matchup. Linares is vulnerable but skilled..

    Linares met a bull in Cano, against Loma he met the matador!

    Loma is becoming the new king of 135. It is what it is..

    He was a better lightweight than Broner was and Loma is better at 135 than Broner was also, Broner is just a potshoter, Linares is a far better counter puncher and has a higher ring IQ than Broner does too.

    Manny isn`t fighting at 135 anymore Loma would toy with him at that weight, Manny is coming to the end, this is the next generation now, move on.
