Shocked by how good JMM was - best he has looked in years. Bring on Pac-JMM 3!

it would only make sense if it happens below 140... but IMO pac "can't/won't be willing to" go down to that weight anymore... at 140 and above, pac will just destroy him.

Katsidis is nice and with his brother's passing it's a nice story... The man has few skills other than presenting his face for his opponents to hit and he cuts/swells easily. JMM is tailor made to be KTFO by Manny, so I'd rather see him fight Berto than a faded Marquez.

PAc has it in for JMM for his bitching ways and he felt Juan disrespected him. He will fight him, but JMM would have to promote it and wouldnt make much money in doing so. PAC will probably ask for 10 Million guaranteed. As long as JMM is fighting only for legacy and not money, this fight can happen in May even at 140.

Why want this fight at 144 or even 147? The madness. Do Pac fans want to see Marquez get killed or would they prefer a more competitive fight? The fight should not be above 140 pounds and even that will be tough for JMM.

Yeah, this fight will only be relevant (to some extent) if the fight is at 140 or below (we can't expect Pacman to go anywhere below 140 though).

But at the same time, both guys are going to weigh around 145-148 on fight night so does it really matter?

Ok but since Mayweather is out of the question for now and Sergio can't make 150, who wouldn't be a huge underdog against Pac? The show has to go on. The real question is - who deserves a fight with Pac the most? JMM gave us one of the most entertaining fights we've ever seen against Pac (twice). That said, JMM should automatically be first in line especially when he has shown he can still bang it out with a younger, strong fighter.

    absolutely agree 100%.

i thought after the beating floyd put on him, it was over at the top level. interestingly enough he weighed the same last night as he did vs floyd, yet he looked so much more sharper and quicker.

a fight with pac is very justifiable. wether or not pac would be able to negate him as floyd did is another matter, it think pac would war it out with him again, and then it is a question of chins.

but after last night, i think it is fair to say marquez is the third most credible opponent pac could take on, behind only floyd and martinez.

i was aginst talk of this fight after the diaz match, but jmm is without a shadow of a doubt a top 4 p4p fighter now, and i say bring it on!

Marquez's combination punching was definitely excellent last night. He looked very sharp and crisp. Defense was iffy as it has been for a long while. He's not the same guy he used to be as he's been slowing for years now, but at the very least, he's in a holding pattern. I'd love to see what he can manage to do against Pac now.

Popkins - hopefully B-Hop can manage to look better than he has in his last 2 fights next month. I don't expect it though, but one can hope!

Popkins, I suppose your approval of the fight at 147 pounds means that Mayweathers shutout of JMM is an impressive victory?

First congrats to jmm for a well deserved victory!

Now thou he looked like a beast in his last 2 fights, lets not get carried away. For a second let as consider the quality/type of his last 2 opponents and at what weight he fought them (yes 135lbs). Now let us think for a moment and ask, why has jmm never fought above that weight (forget the floyd fight, 99.99% of boxers will not turn down that huge amount of pay). Are there no offers? Doubt that, coz once he goes to jr ww division, expect the champs and contenders there to start calling his name immediately. I personally think that 135lbs is his limit and he knows it, otherwise he would have not stayed there that long and instead followed his nemesis weight jumping path, or at least he could have went to the 140lb div.

Fighting pac above 140lbs is a good idea money wise but i dont expect it to be competitive. Thou I might change my stand after i see him fight a competitive one against a 140 lb'er guy.

For now, if they fight at 140lbs and up, pac by ko!
