    The Towering Inferno got demolished.

    April 8th, 2023 had several amazing fights, but this was certainly the knockout of the year!

    Well, he should've continued to "fight tall", which is his greatest power. That's why he was ahead on all cards. But he always liked to mix it up on the inside for the sake of entertainment. Tonight, he paid for that mistake!

    By the way... Did anyone notice that Showtime had the records flip-flopped in the info?

    It showed:
    Sebastian Fundora (21-2, 15 KOs) faces Brian Mendoza (20-0-1, 13 KOs) for the WBC Interim super welterweight title. From Carson Calif.

    Actually, this main event landed on April 9th for the East coast... So you could say Fundora's egg got cracked on Easter! :)

    Based on how vulnerable Fundora has always been and how tough Mendoza is, and how all around solid Akhmadaliev is, and how flawed Tapales has been in the past. Definitely Tapales taking the W, and that the judges were fair.

    Arm punch but he did step forward a bit. Crazy that it generated that much power. He didn't turn his hips at all on that one (ehh, he actually did a little bit) but the swivel on Fundora's head says it was a big shot.

    Wow. He looked so aware when the ref was counting him out. Either he quit or he could feel his legs were completely gone.

    is it really that surprising? the guy got generous decisions against Jahmontay Clark and Sergio Garcia, and was dropped by Lubin. everything on the eye test told me he was awful, but he kept winning somehow. just annoyed that this was the one time I didn’t bet against him

    Why did Fundora look at the ref and complain while he was sat on his ass? Why didn't he get up off the canvas instead of bitching to the ref? Weird.

    Fundora was a KTFO waiting to happen. Not sure what was surprising. Dude never even fought for a belt so not sure why so highly regarded
