Dirty tactics will be big to counter offense imo

Actually, that has always been my issue with previous Canelo fights (using him as an example).

When an unfavoured fighter (known for winning on points) even suspects he can't get a result on the cards... what do they do? Well, they either (A) have to box a shut-out performance, or (B) get knock downs/ a stoppage.

Obviously at the highest level (A) is highly unlikely, so that just leaves option (B). Well now the favoured fighter has fewer game plans to have to train for. And uncharacteristic recklessness by the often-measured fighter creates openings to be exploited. Hence, it may become easier for the favoured fighter to score their own knock downs and stoppages, safe in the knowledge that the cards will be a safety net.

Basically, it completely skews the bout.

They cheated Usyk in first fight too, with canvas.

Look this affair with judges looks dodgy. I do not remember the same controversy in Innoue´s, Crawford´s or Beterbiev´s Undisputed fights from recent history. A that original judge suddenly got sick? Suddenly a couple of hours before the fight? Maybe he said NO to money. We should definitely be able to hear his story. But if he shares his version of story, then maybe he will not be a judge anymore.

Surely, a beard in the eyes is just a natural repeated occurrence when a taller opponent bear hugs a smaller one. Nothing to see here. Quite literally. ;)

I think and hope that you are right because I have never seen such a naked stacking of the deck against a fighter.

Times have changed as a direct result of Fury’s behaviour in recent years. Nothing else.

Beards like that should not be legal. If nothing else they can irritate the other fighters eyes

True and another aspect to Fury being allowed to retain the beard is dictatorial psychology. He dictated **** poor monetary terms for Usyk in the first fight.

He ain’t the Champ of anything anymore - so he’s trying to exercise control over whatever he can otherwise.

I believe that Team Fury are also making a broohaha over Usyk’s cross and it not being allowed in his corner.

It’s a BS playbook and they’ve had plenty of time to sort that out rather than calling it in at the 11th hour.

It speaks volumes for Fury’s confidence (lack thereof) in beating Usyk on an otherwise level playing field.

Usyk is an actual god fearing man - Fury, despite his claims, is not and he is trying for anyone possible weakness in Usyk’s psyche, including Olek’s faith in higher powers. Fury is a mutt.

Well I think it does and obviously so does the boxing organization that requires the beard to be trimmed. It's OBVIOUSLY a cushion against a punch.

The fight not stacked against Usyk in any way shape or form.

Fury is doing what Fury does because he knows he can't beat Usyk.

    All of this, just noise.

    Beard schmeard.

    Usyk will win

I saw what I saw last time. That was NOT a split decision.

I saw Turkyi insulting him to his face.

I see a judge mysteriously being replaced at the last minute.

    I will respectfully disagree.

The beard does offer some protection if it's thick. There are theories beards evolved partly because of this, though it might be more about protecting from blades rather than blows.

Usyk's team should complain about it still.
