Shocking Warren attack on Calzaghe in the Sun - he pulls no punches!

Reading through Scraps posts he mentioned a while ago that he owns a Lonsdale belt!

Joe talks ****, & lies through his teeth. & thats a fact. Its a known fact that he said in his book that RJJ was shot, as everyone knows Joe has since backtracked.

HOWEVER.

My favourite Joe Calzaghe lie was when he got the dodgy win over Byron Mitchell, remember that fight? Yup, the fight when Mitchell rocked joe to his boots, Joe came back & floored Mitchell, & then Dave Parris stopped the fight cos Joe told him to!!! Mitchell hadnt even tken a clean shot, he fell off balance, joe gestured to the ref & Parris stopped the fightatsch

After the fight, a certain american interviewr(I forget his name) cornered Joe about him telling the hometown ref to stop the fight & Joe replied "I DONT REMEMBER DOING THAT!"
The interviewer just laughed at him, it was such a blatant lie from the welsh italian, or should that be the italian welshman?

he lies about everything, all the time. Hes a great british fighter, I dont deny that. But hes one bullshitter too.

This cannot be denied.
Oh, & if anyone is wondering what interview I am talking about, its the HBO one. Post fight. find it, watch it, and cringe at Calzaghe pretending he had a sudden loss of memory!

warren takes advantage of his sun column to to make out his fighters our all amazing and calzaghe, hatton and haye our **** to the average sport fan that doesnt follow much boxing.

warren is a small hall promoter now.

 

I think Warren is embarrassing himself now

 

And of course we will all sit back and enjoy watching him do it. :hey :yep

 

I think a couple of points are valid, whilst others are debatable

But.......

To blow smoke up a guy's ass for the past God knows how long, then do a complete about-turn and start rubbishing him is rather stupid

I think Calzaghe could have achieved more in his career, but it cannot be said that Warren is blameless - after all, Hatton achieved more post-Warren and it could be said that Hamed did as well.

Obviously you havent watched the stoppage closely Fluxy.

watch it again, if you can. When Mitchell fell onto the ropes no punch had landed, he was off balance & fell into the ropes. Then the fight was stopped.

Watch the fight again. Then lets talk. Byron was fine when the fight ended, this wasnt no beatdown like you try to make out. & I have access to the brit & american shows.

So if you come back, you better come back prepared! Be warned...

Mitchell was so far up ***** street at that point he was selling his arse for spare change. Get over it.

Back to the subject. Yes Warren risks his own money, thats what a promoter does. The boxers risks their lives and their health. And where do you think that money he risks came from... the fighter's fights, that's where. The same fights the boxers were risking their lives in.

 

Mitchell never recovered from the knockdown fully, if you watch his presponse when the ref is counting and asking him to come forward it is clear he was all over and looked like he was on a time delay. He then walked into a barrage of punches and threw one half heartedly in response, not sure why Joe appeared to look at the ref but defo a fair stoppage for me :good

 

Mitchell was on ***** street but the stoppage was BS. Joe was looking at the ref and intimating for the stoppage. Everything that landed landed on Byrons gloves much like the Manfredo stoppage.
