    I've heard there being issues of looseness for the machomais mids, and its visible in the pics of pac wearing them with the lace tied around the shoe;

    I've also read the box hogs have some issues with comfort.

    Which of the two would be better bang for my buck?

    I have the box hogs, they are a bit uncomfortable without foot supports.

    Lesser of two evils here. If you want a lot of ankle support you won't get it with the Machomai, but the Box Hog is a bit uncomfortable at times and not too great at support either. Someone like me, for example, needs a lot of ankle support because I move a lot and like that tight feeling around my ankle. For my money the best boxing shoes I've had are the Adidas Tygun 2.

    The box hogs are ultra thin, very minimalistic. I like them personally because I hate too much support in a shoe.

    Minimalistic in a good or bad way? I dont prefer to skimp on quality lol

    Both seem to be pretty light weight, what kind of foot support do I need to get to make them comfortable?

    Adidas Box Hog is match shoes. I wear them for matches. They are not bad for the matches but its not training shoes because not durable.

    I don't know Machomais , I didn't use but Im thinking of buy it.

    I have a pair of box hogs and love them. My footwork feels heavy when I wear shoes with more support. The box hogs are the closest thing you'll get to a sock with a hard sole..

    Tried on the machomais. They run thin and appear to be pretty flimsy. also, annoying to put on and off. No support.

    I have the boxhogs and they're pretty durable. Easy to put on and take off. No support, but I like that feeling.

    I picked adidas because they're generally better quality and I do not like Nike on principle.
