    omg :bbb
we all remember what happened in their first fight...

it was pretty ****ing brutal (though not as brutal as wandy vs jackson II)..

But this is still a dream match up imo...I thought Jackson was done (after his acting break/career) that mma was something of the past for him but it looks like he's ready to regain his title. (or at least he'll give it all his best)....

I know that it wasn't the best "win"...(since Machida clearly won the 1rst...2nd was jackson's...3rd....well probably machida too) ...:think But...you'd rather see machida vs shogun III ? ...Haven't you guys had enough (since Shogun won both fights anyway ? ...)

Or what they should do instead... , is have a machida vs jackson rematch. (like they did for shogun).

Yes id rather see Machida vs Jackson II it makes sense and both fighters want it. I think the fans deserve along with the fighters to see a clear winner. I think you see to be forgetting we are getting Evans vs Shogun sometime next year.

Jimmie's right, winner of Rashad v Jackson gets Shogun, Evans is next in line.

Ok i've rewatched the fight...and i'm really undecided on this one...

Round 1...i'd go for a draw
    Round 2...Jackson
    Round 3 Machida...

But i think they just need an instant rematch... it's a shame it only had 3 rounds instead of 5..

I agree it seemed the longer the fight went the better it got and the closer we where to a finish or atleast really finding out who was better. I almost wish with big 3 round fights like this the fights could put it in the contract if the fight is decided within 1 point they can fight 1-2 more rounds.

  10. all i can say is im going to be watching live at Abu Dhabi.
Really hope they add wanderlei on the card too

Meh, I'm worried about Shogun. If you remember to his earlier fights, how powerful and dominant he was in the clinch. He would get clinch control, especially body locks and just overpower. He did this vs Lil Nog all night, and in a seemingly effortless manner.

I think it has to do with the leg/knee injuries. We saw it against Machida where he had underhooks and his hands locked, he tried powering and twisting him down, but ended up on his back, the attempts I remember seeing looked very very weak compared to what they looked like vs. Lil Nog. Remember how dominant Chute Box clinch work was back in the day.

So, now he's going to face Molasses Rashad who's going to do his thing, and try to Molasses the fight against the cage and the ground. Shogun hasn't been especially strong in his takedowns and in the clinch since his knee injuries. Rashad's fights remind me of a used toilette paper.. Smearing, dirty, and not enjoyable to look at.

yup, should of been a draw. i dont have a problem giving Jackson rounds 1&2 though. Personally they both didnt seem like they wanted it and were really passive.

Shogun lost alot of advantages as a Chute Boxe fighter under the unified rules. Under PRIDE rules i would have given him a better chance. Despite Rampages performance last night i think the Octagon favours Rampage.
Amazing to see where both fighters are today. As less than a few years ago i was positive Rampage was done after those two bad beatings in PRIDE. And Shogun looked shot vs Griffin. Just goes to show the quality and depth in both fighters.

3 rounds for ANY fight isn't enough. 5 round non-title 7 round title is what it should be.
