I miss this dude and his weird takes.

Anyway, I like Ergashev. He's just here to KO dudes. He didn't look great against Fox, maybe a little lucky to get the nod, but I'm not going to hold that one against him too much to be honest. Lovely KO at the weekend.

Ah yes, Kansas....... Strange squad of people out there, their own neighbor deebo'd their city but they redeemed themselves by naming one of their college sports teams "The shockers" -- two in the pink and one in the stink. Right on fellas, right on. Man I'm ****ing proud to be an American.

I know what you mean, I actively follow the EE prospects more than the UK ones, because I feel they're more likely to go further, despite getting the UK ones forced down my throat.

A truly horrific historical figure. This young man needs to read some books before he uses such a name. Until then I hope he gets KTFO any time he gets into the ring.

Ergashev has definitely made improvements in his last few fights.

You can see them in his fight from last August. I also want to post this one just to marvel at the mandibular fortitude of his opponent because it's rather impressive

Loosen up mate, it's obviously a joke.

I don't understand how you can wish ill on somebody so happy. The kids dedicated and having fun, whilst loving life. Let him.

We all choose who we want to win, right? I'm choosing his opponents.

What if this kid was from Georgia (the country, not the state) and decided to call himself "The New Stalin". Would that be funny?

Timur the Lame was a particularly nasty maniac. It's not a name to take as a nickname. IMO. He made Genghis Khan look like Amir Khan.

Everything you've mentioned is completely fair enough, but imo it's a very bad trait to actively want somebody to lose.

Also, I don't think it's a particularly funny joke, bit it's no reason imo to want him to fail.

After a couple watches, here's my take on Ergashev:

    > Footwork
Kid has good feet, lovely shifts and pivots, turns at the angle well and sets himself good too. He has good knowledge of how to use his southpaw stance and moved well whilst rarely not attacking. His shifts and offensive pivots are very reminiscent of Lomachenko.

    > Punches(Structure/Selection)
All round not many complaints, very well schooled, although after 18 years of experience, 250 amateur fights and 18 pro, he probably shouldn't be swinging wide and falling off balance with a miss. Gets good torque and full extension, also has a very good understanding of range. His right is very cultured and coming along nicely, hooking off his jab and doubling up on them seems to be his strong suit.

    > Workrate
Decent workrate, but he's not Aaron Pryor.

    > Speed
He's fast, real quick guy. Fast feet, fast hands too, he's also quick at exploiting openings, we're yet to see much resistance against him yet, so we don't know how he'll think on his feet, unless someone can enlighten me on his amateur career.

    > Power
Very explosive, looks like he has real power, he also has very skilled ways of landing it too. Again, we'll know for sure when he steps up against real opposition.

    > Chin
No telltale signs of glass mandible from my knowledge, but it's yet to be tested.

    >Experience
The guys been boxing 2 thirds of his life and has had fights in abundance. His only lack of experience is against the best in the world. He knows what he's doing in-between those ropes though, make no mistake.

He definitely has a few weaknesses though, for one: he has a pretty leaky defence, he definitely isn't unhittable. I'm sure others will pop up over time. As for right now, his showboating and lack of high level defence may come back to bite him on the ass.

I like him though, very happy kid, very fun style and full of confidence. I wish him well.

You're a true moron, many great despots have made their mark on history through their bloodshed. Fighters liken themselves to Caesar and Genghis Khan all the time. Don't be such an obtuse little *****.
