Interesting choice...only 30, and had never even gotten around to contending for a world title yet but very feasibly could have soon. He was ranked top-ten by every org except the WBC (as of today WBA #10, #WBO #4 and IBF #4).

    Chronic injuries?

Shame this,I thought this guy could have been a real threat at 140 from what I'd seen of him.looks like he got fed up sitting about and getting no exposure.his compatriot giyasov could be headig the same way.

I think he was already firmly on the shelve before Covid hit so it's probably been a frustrating few years and he's decided to pack it in.

...IDK, he fought just last month. :nusenuse:

And that continued a streak of five consecutive stoppage victories, going 3-0 (3) in the pandemic. The last opponent to last the distance with him was fellow unbeaten prospect Mykal Fox. And he was potentially a fight or two away from an eliminator for any of three belts.

I had no idea he'd been that active bud in fact the fox fight was the last I'd seen of him!...yeah it is very surprising he's jacked it then,he would've been a problem for any of the top dogs by the looksies.

WTF?! He's really good, punches like a mule, is fun to watch, and, as said, is highly ranked by three of the orgs.

    January 25 - announced retirement
    February 01 - re-signed with Dmitriy Salita

So, 6 days in total :aaaaa:

Could have even been as short as 3 days if Salita made him wait over the Sabbath and weekend.

A mo th later he retired again.
